Assignment : Children should spend their time playing.

Preschools have become a regular part of the educational system in our culture, and with them there seems to be a growing interest and emphasis on education in the early years prior to beginning kindergarten. The question is whether or not this is a healthy trend. Yes, children should absolutely begin their formal education at a slightly later age than they do currently.

There is some evidence that preliminary education in preschool can be helpful for children in their fourth and fifth year prior to entering kindergarten. There is, however, a wide degree of variation among children in terms of skill level at this age depending upon individual temperament, family background, and cognitive capacity.

In general, four and five year olds are not ready for the formalized method of learning that requires sitting still for long periods of time while attending to paper and pencil tasks that engage the child on a primarily cognitive level. Specifically, they are learning to refine ideas and emotions by expressing them symbolically through play. Preschool provides an excellent setting for tackling all these tasks. However, the activity that lends itself most effectively to facilitating each of them is play, not education. Alongside of language development, children are also learning to express emotions and ideas through play. Around two and half years, most children will begin engaging in pretend play using toys such as animals, dolls, or play objects like telephones and lawn mowers. This sort of fantasy play becomes more important in the fourth and fifth year and begins to take on the function of self- expression and exploration, particularly the expression of feelings and emotional issues.

The second developmental task that confronts this age group is gender differentiation. Not only are they aware of the physiological differences, but they are becoming acquainted with social differences and like to play-act basic social roles such as mommy and daddy, teacher, doctor, and so forth. Through fantasy play they are able to project themselves into the wider community of social membership as opposed to residing exclusively within the family, and also initiate their social standing as a male or female.

The third task mentioned above has to do with socialization. Preschool is an excellent idea at this age, even for half days, to provide young children with the opportunity to be around other children in play situations. Preschool play facilitates an introduction to competition or games as well as cooperation and collaboration, and widens the child's self-image to include participation in the larger structure of groups.

In view of these important developmental tasks, I would say that play should be the primary activity in preschool. Play activities that are most valuable are fantasy play, outside games and free play, and arts and crafts. Educational pursuits can be facilitated, but should be folded into the creative activities associated with play. There will be plenty of time for formal education when elementary school begins. Unstructured activities such as imaginative play, invention and social play all contribute to helping an individual develop important capacities. For example, children who engage in playful learning and imaginative play are able to delay rewards for longer time periods and thus able to achieve higher goals. So, please, keep our children playing, for playing is not the trivial activity that adults are keen to label, but instead, can be thought of as playful, and often hard, learning.

  2. Playing a game is fun only when you win. Small children can’t win in their desperate efforts to sink up difficult school matter at that early stage. That’s why the disatvatages of spending time on school studies beforehand are equalling the advatages of understanding the world through playing, making me belive playing is their way.
The first reason in support of my belief is that kids learn better through games than they do by following the strictly defined ways of modern studying. Children often don’t understand the advanced knowledge that’s being offered to them to absorb. This factor irritates the cuddly little things and they react towards it as to a forced good, in that way overthrowing the school method.
There is no denying that a child¡¯s education is very important. For this reason some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age. They believe that this will give them some advantage over those who do not enter school until the traditional school age. In my opinion, however, young children should spend most of their time playing because it will offer them more advantages than will formal schooling at the age.

One advantage to a child of spending his early years outside of school is that he can learn many things that formal schooling does not teach, such as how to take care of himself and how to cope with an ever-expanding world. In addition, he will have a better opportunity to develop a good relationship with his family. Another reason not to send a child to school too early is that he may not be ready. If he is not prepared to deal with the rules and the pressure of schoolwork, he may become discouraged and develop a negative attitude toward school. Last but not least, children can learn many beneficial things through play. By having fun while learning, they not only gain knowledge, but develop curiosity and a desire to learn.

For all of these reasons, I believe that it is not beneficial to young children to begin formal education too soon. They need time to play and explore their world without being subject to the regulations and demands of formal schooling. With proper preparation, children will be active and confident learners when they do begin their education.

Thirdly, but not second in meaning at all is the fact that not all small children live in an identical environment, thus developing quite different abilities. This comes to show that the standardized ways of teaching won’t match the ranging intellectual horizons of for example a kid from the United States and his contemporary living thousands of miles away in the deserts of Africa.
In conclusion I would like to once again put myself in support of enhancing children’s formal education by means of entertaining activities. Because it is the way kids feel that defines their attitude toward a particular way of studying. As school studies at that fragile age bring just confusion and abolishment in children’s minds it becomes unsuitable for them. And we cannot let that define their future attitude towards the greatest treasures of all, can we?

  3. Nowadays, many parents send their children to school since the early age as earlier as 3 years. Many school also provided class for children at the early age. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. I agree with begin formal education at a young age.

Some children start school life with crying because of afraid and not used with school environment. By starting education at a young age, children will be used with the fun and happy school environment. Learning session also need some adjustment in order to follow their age. As an example, their learning session will be more on basic living, build good attitude and good relationship among each other. They also can learn to manage themselves in order to build independence person. They also can start learn alphabet, numbers, counting and reading.

With the fun and enjoy learning environment, children can learn better. They also have many friends to learn together and it makes learning process more interesting. Teacher should be creative in adjusting learning environment to prevent them become bored. Effective learning process can help children to build their IQ and make them more maturity in thinking.

Play more learns more. Learning process can be done in different way such as by playing. It can help children to think in solving problems. By doing arts or music, children can play and learn new things and shows their hidden talent. It can make them feels happy to be at school with the friends around them rather than playing alone at home.

Besides that, teacher and parents can’t force the children. Don’t instill stress on the child. They are in the young age and unable to manage their stress. If stress, children will felt hate to go to school and it will effect the children’s growth and development. Teacher also need to be patient when teach young children. Encourage and give them support to learn.

For the conclusion, begin formal education at a young age and spend most of time on school study is better than spend most time playing. It can help child prepare mentally and physically to facing with their further education at the high level.

  4. Most of the time we can say that every mind of children is thinking about playing. They like to play all the time because it make they feel so happy and make their time very cheerful and not bored.
Childhood is probably one of the most essential periods of a person’s life and should be spent wise. Both choices- to spend it mainly in studying or playing games have its advantages and disadvantages.

If children begin their education at a very early age, they won’t waste their time, probably will turn into well educated persons, but too serious and also could start hating school. On the other hand, if they spend most of their time playing, they could develop vital skills, but they’ll be probably be bored of studying and could not find a good job.
First of all, because children have good memory and learn quickly, childhood is a great time to study hard, which could be a great advantage in future. Based on my experience, knowledge and skills gained in childhood are very strong and will be useful and helpful in person’s whole life.
Furthermore, starting a child’s education at very early age means that this child will not waste his or her time in watching the same episodes lots of times. They often are wondering what to do and it’s a great opportunity and the best decision for a child to study. However, if children spend most of their time on school studies, they’ll probably become too serious, which could be a great problem for his or her parents.
Nowadays children grow up earlier and loose the great opportunity to have a merry childhood. If a child studies too much, he or she could also have social problems. These kinds of children are called book warms by their classmates and are usually not beloved. Second of all, when children spend most of their time playing, they usually develop vital skills such as creativity and dexterity. This could help them in future and could be a great advantage. They’ll probably develop a great imagination and important social skills. But this choice has also its advantages. If kids are given too much freedom and if they spend too much playing, they’ll probably have problems at school.
Based on my experience, when children want to play, they’re not concentrated, so they couldn’t study effectively, which will affect their grades and will lead to lack of knowledge and essential skills. Therefore, if they’re not good students, these children could not find a good job and ruin their future.

I believe that children should begin their formal education at early age because this could be a good advantage in this competitive world, won’t waste their time, but could also have some time for playing. Nowadays everybody wants to be first, people compete every day for everything- a good education, job, house, etc.
Therefore, if children start their school preparation earlier, they’ll have a better chance to succeed in life. Spending most of a child’s time on school studies doesn’t mean that he or she will not have time to live his or her childhood. Most of the children watch a television all day long and avoid reading books or doing exercises.
I believe that studying could be part of children’s childhood and also could make it even better.
In brief, spending most of children’s time either on school studies or playing has its advantages and disadvantages and would lead to shaping different personalities.
However, I would choose the first variant because I consider that it would be essential and valuable for every child to spend most of her or his childhood studying and less time on relaxing, having fun and playing.

  5. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with> Why?

Piaget was a French speaking Swiss theorist who posited that children learn actively through the play process. He suggested that the adult's role in helping the child learn was to provide appropriate materials for the child to interact and construct. Hence, I would like to stand upon my stance that I am not agree that children should begin their formal education at a very young age.

We need to broaden the definition of school readiness to include social and emotional competencies necessary for good citizenship – and I emphasize good citizenship. The notion of paying active attention to the early development of citizens may seem like common sense, but it is not now on the table in discussions about school readiness. As a matter of fact, attention to social- emotional domains have been characterized by many school readiness proponents as ‘fluff’ and ‘off target.’

Yet, it is clear from the conclusions recently reached by three prominent groups of professionals. That if we want children to be ready for school we must attend to more things than reading and early math and language. Children are born ‘ready to learn,’ but we must also attend to their social and emotional development. I am puzzled why we are taking such a narrow stance in this country toward preparing children for school and not thinking more clearly and more broadly about preparing them for life. We cannot prepare children to be ready for third grade by treating 2- and 3-year- olds like third graders. Rather, we need to help people see that children need an emotional and intellectual grounding to be able to think deeply and creatively about new ways to relate to each other, the world around them, and to have the confidence to act upon these thoughts.

In the final analysis, whether society approaches the issue of school readiness from either an economic or developmental perspective, neglecting to recognize the importance of social- emotional development, in addition to intellectual development, is a path that shortchanges both children and society.

An important lesson to draw from the entire literature on successful early interventions is that it is the social skills and motivation of the child that is more easily altered, not IQ. These social and emotional skills affect performance in school and in the workplace. We too often have a bias toward believing that only cognitive skills are of fundamental importance to success in life.

  6. The formal education is very important to the children. The formal education is must be started at young age above three years old. I am agreeing the statement of children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. The formal studies are the first steps of learn the mathematics, science or languages subjects.
Firstly, the formal education helps children to improve their speaking and fluent their language at young age. An example, the children learn how to pronouns the words well. There started to study alphabet (A until Z) and learn how to say words. The teachers are gave a lot practice to students to improve their language such as, motivate them to speak in English language in school. Encourage them to take part in competition such as, public speaking.
At the young age we started the children to learn subjects; it will increase their thinking power. But the children always spend their time to playing. It not worth it for them and it will be make them late them to catch the subjects and cannot be equal with other students or cannot manage the study competition between the students. Because now days the academic competition among students are become rat races. Who be late to study, there will be lost or be late to achieve their ambition.
The formal education teaches the children what science is and how science gave benefit in human daily life. The science helps to make know and understand the children about the function of human body parts. Other than, the school environment makes them fun. Because the children are see their same age friends and other age friends. It will prevent them from bored.
The school is helping the children to gain knowledge and teachers are taking main part in school to make the students be an intelligent. The formula education grades help them to estimate the student’s level in academic. Even though, the students clever in sport but the studies are help them to achieve their ambition. The studies are gave more opportunity to the students. An example, in the future the students want sponsor for their course. So lastly, formula education is must started at young age and the parents don’t give more time to spend their in playing.

  8. Children should begin their formal education at a very early age

Nowadays, most of children attend preparatory schools and primary schools at a very early age. There are two different points of view regarding this. Some of people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age. Other people think that children should spend most of their time playing. Actually, each point of view has some strong reasons to support their position.
People who believe that sending children to the school at a very early age is good, they think that it allows them to finish their studies earlier. There are a lot of people who have gotten their doctoral at a young age because they have begun their formal education at a very early age. They can now enjoy their lives with the educational success that they have reached. Also, children who begin their formal education at a very early age and spend most of time on school studies will gain the habitude to study. They will learn that study is an important thing in life. They will have the ability to study by themselves, and progressively the parents will not find any problem with the education of their children. In addition, people who endorse this point of view believe that children have all the life to play not only at the age of childhood. So, they have to focus on their study rather than spending most of time playing.
The other point of view, that controverts the first one, admits that young children have to take all the advantage from their childhood. They have to spend most of their time playing in order to feel the happiness , the comfort and the enthusiasm of life. However, spending most of time playing prevent children from having any regrets about their childhood. Because they have spend all the necessary time to play, and they will be plenty ready to study. Also, children who begin studying at very early age , will dislike the moments of studying, because they think that studying prevent them from playing , which every child wants to do at this age.
In my opinion, children should begin their formal education at a very early age. They have to spend most of time on their school studies. According to some research and studies, children can learn a lot at an early age. They are construing their mind , so they have to boost their intelligence and their memory by studying. Children can also have fun in studying. There are a lot of children who enjoy studying because their teachers or their parents use some funny examples or methods in teaching them.
In the childhood, children should have some equilibrium in what they do. The caregiver should manage the children's time between playing and studying. Children should know that life is not only playing or just studying. They should also respect the time for doing these.

  9. Question 18
In this competitive world, we as parents think that education is very important for the child to develop interpersonal skills that this will lead to a very successful life later. Child’s education at very early age means that this child will not waste his or her time in watching the same episodes lots of times. They often are wondering what to do and it’s a great opportunity and the best decision for a child to study.

Nowadays children grow up earlier and loose the great opportunity to have a merry childhood. If a child studies too much, he or she could also have social problems. This kind of children is called bookwarms by their classmates and is usually not beloved. Second of all, when children spend most of their time playing, they usually develop vital skills such as creativity and dexterity. This could help them in future and could be a great advantage. I started reading books on age of five and believe that studying could be part of children’s childhood and also could make it even better.

In conclusion, I would say that it is better for the children to play with other kids or toys, because they are still young enough to enjoy it fully. Playing is an important part of every person’s life as it helps us to develop physically and mentally healthy. Furthermore, when children reach school age the best solution for them is to start gaining knowledge that would be useful for their future and they can grow step by step to know world situation.

  10. There is much truth in the above statement. I was once an archetype of the perpetually hungry kid who was noisy and dirty with the inborn ability to drive my parents “up the wall” as they say. With my next door friends of about the same age we would run wild around the neighbourhood, climbing trees, stepping on flower beds, disturbing people and on the whole enjoying ourselves tremendously.
Those were the days where we a “damn nuisance” to everyone older than us.
The years seem to have passed very quickly. I am now pushing eighteen and on the verge of leaving school! I really wonder sometimes how we grew up so fast. It would be just wonderful to remain kids forever, like Peter Pan and his friends, but then again it may not be such a good idea.
Anyway the reality is that I am no longer ten. When I think back and compare what I was then with what I am now I can see vast differences, much like that between a tadpole and frog.
The first things I noticed are that I no longer have the energy to run continuously. In those younger days we did not walk. We ran, jumped and skipped all over the place. We had boundless energy and never knew what tiredness meant. Now my friend and I hardly ever run, unless it is on the school field when we have to run or face the wrath of the P.E. teacher. Even then it is always more a fast walk than a proper run, much to the teacher’s investigation. I can never understand how we have become so unwilling to run. Maybe it is because we have used up our quota of running when we were young kids. Anyway you will never catch me running for the fun of it. All those middle age joggers I see puffing and groaning on the road look more like jokers to me. I prefer the slow mode of moving. My friends share the same feeling.
God bless those who invented the portable tape player. Now we can listen to our favourite songs without disturbing anyone else. Gone are the times when we have to turn the volume down on the hi-fi set because my grandmother got mad at the too-loud music. With the earphones covering our ears now, we disturb no one and no one disturb us.
Physically too, we have changed tremendously. I would say on the average, we are about twice the size we once were at ten. I also discovered we can no longer sing those children songs, firstly because we feel a bit embarrassed singing them and mostly because we cannot sing in the key that once sang in. A lion cannot squeak like a mouse. That is the difference in our voices. The once angelic voice of a child had turn into the growl of an adolescent boy.
Mentally we have obviously changed. We can no longer play the games we used to play with the girls of our age. When were young it made no difference whether our playmates were boys or girls. Now it makes a tremendous difference. We are so conscious of our sex differences. We only play among members of our own sex. The girls prefer to indulge in softer games on their own. We boys are more robust. I also detect very great tendency for us to show of wherever there are girls around. I do not really know why, but we definitely play harder when the girls are watching.
Soon we will leave school to make our way in the real world of adults. We will definitely change some more. I suppose things will get more serious and we will have less and less time to play. Physical activity will take a back seat except for those fitness freaks. Run? I think I will just sit down and watch the ten year olds do it.
Lastly, some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. And I believe that young children should spend most of their time playing every way from child until adult.

  11. Most parent want their children begin their formal education at a very young age and spend most of their time on school studies. This will help them to succeed in the future but others said that young children should spend most of their time for playing. However, for several reasons, which I will explain below, I think that children should not study at a very early age.

Of cause, children who begin to study at a very early age have more chances to succeed in the future. They gain more knowledge and experience which are priceless and valuable. In addition, studying more now they will give them the opportunity to perfect their knowledge in the future and become better professionals. However, I think that every child must have his or her childhood. Children should learn through playing and communication with their friends and parents. I think that such basic qualities as kindness, self-confidence and just a good sense of humor can not be gained from studying. Children should more time spend with their family, playing and learning with their parents. Imagine that a child instead of playing with his friends does his homework and feel exhausted and tired. Another important aspect of this is that children at their early ages need more exercise because at this age the development of their body is a very essential aspect.

On the one hand, children who are spending most of their time on school studies may later regret that they have not spent their childhood adequately. Moreover, if the children are deprived of enjoyment and fun and are forced only to study, they may find the school painful and torturing. I strongly believe that overloading the children with information, such as arithmetic formula, foreign languages and chemical equations, may be damaging for their physical development and personality. Having exams and tests, may be very stressful for the little children and as a result they may begin to detest the educational system.

Furthermore, if children begin their formal education at a very young age they cannot tolerate the formal education stress which is include homework, assignment, exams and studying hard. Its may put a lot of pressure on children. Therefore, they may lose their interest to studying and learning. They cannot enjoy from their childhood. In addition, they can learn a lot of thing by playing and communicating with other children.

Besides that, many psychologists have an idea that they believe formal education at this age, may be harmful to children development. Through playing children can learn a lot of valuable things. Many games and toys are designed to teach numbers, colors and alphabets to children. These toys help children to learn things faster and in a more fun way. In addition, playing with other children can help them to improve their communication's skill.
In the nutshell, I believe that formal education at very early age is not a good idea. It may put a lot of pressure on children, and it will destroy their best time of their life. Moreover, children are able to learn many things by playing and communicating with others. So, I agree that children should spend most of their time playing compare started them with formal education.

  12. Every parents always their child have a successful life with a highly- paid job. So, some parents will spend a lot of money to send the children attend preparatory school at very young age. It is because they think that their children should not lose at the starting point. But, I think children should spend most of their time playing.
The reason is children are learning from play. When they play, they are actually stimulate the brain cell and also help to develop a more creative generation. For example, children who start an early education need to memorise a lot of mathematic formula and read the book which they even do not know the meaning. It may cause a child become bored and dull on study as well as they can not think out of the box and vice versa. Only through play, the brain cell will connect faster and more. Hence, they will enjoy in learning new things and received more information.
Second of all, I think that children should have a cheerful and relax environment to growth. The overloading of the information and homework may damage their mental development and personality. The parents tend to compare. When the children having test or exam, parents will demand to have full marks and it is indirectly increase their stress level thus lead to negative impact such as start to detest the education system.
In addition, without play with the peers can cause them low self esteem and lack of socialization skill. If the condition is serious, the children may growth with some abnormalities and start to self isolation like autism. Children should play and communicate with the parents and friends. They can accumulate the daily basic knowledge and master the language through play. For example, when a mother is dressing for her children, the mother can teach the child how to button the shirt and what is the pronunciation and spelling of the words. It is more fun than reading a book.
To sum up, play is a vital part in the whole life. Only at this period children can be enjoy their childhood not a nightmare. I believe that playing help the child to develop a healthy body especially the development of the bone and muscle.

  13. Question 18: Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with? Why?
Childhood is probably one of the most essential periods of a person’s life and should be spent wise. Both choices- to spend it mainly in studying or playing games have its advantages and disadvantages.
If children begin their education at a very early age, they won’t waste their time, probably will turn into well educated persons, but too serious and also could start hating school. On the other hand, if they spend most of their time playing, they could develop vital skills, but they’ll be probably be bored of studying and could not find a good job. Based on my experience, knowledge and skills gained in childhood are very strong and will be useful and helpful in person’s whole life. Furthermore, a child’s education at very early age means that this child will not waste his or her time in watching the same episodes lots of times.
This kind of children is called bookwarms by their classmates and is usually not beloved. Second of all, when children spend most of their time playing, they usually develop vital skills such as creativity and dexterity. This could help them in future and could be a great advantage.

  14. QUESTION 18

They have to spend most of their time playing in order to feel the happiness, the comfort and the enthusiasm of life. However, spending most of time playing prevents children from having any regrets about their childhood. Because they have spent all the necessary time to play, and they will be plenty ready to study. Also, children who begin studying at very early age, will dislike the moments of studying, because they think that studying prevent them from playing, which every child wants to do at this age.

In my opinion, children should begin their formal education at a very early age. They have to spend most of time on their school studies. According to some research and studies, children can learn a lot at an early age. They are construing their mind, so they have to boost their intelligence and their memory by studying.

  15. 18. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should append most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with? Why?

Childhood is one of the most important and memorable periods of our lives. We come into the world innocent and unaware and in just a few short years make great physical and mental progress. People learn through their entire lives. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and spend most of their time on school studies. This will help them to succeed in the future.
The period from birth to six years is the most significant for brain growth. A child who is surrounded by a rich multi-sensory environment develops infinitely more connection between brain cells. In this connection, the process of learning to read is of particular significance because it has such a strong positive influence on neural development. In a formal education system, this can provide the necessary resources and trained personnel to bring out the best in the child.
When children spend most of their time playing, they usually develop vital skills such as creativity and dexterity. This could help them in future and could be a great advantage. They’ll probably develop a great imagination and important social skills. But this choice has also its advantages. If kids are given too much freedom and if they spend too much playing, they’ll probably have problems at school. When children want to play, they’re not concentrated, so they couldn’t study effectively, which will affect their grades and will lead to lack of knowledge and essential skills. Therefore, if they’re not good students, these children could not find a good job and ruin their future.
Being in a school environment teaches children both how to behave themselves and also to get along with other children and adults. These lessons in human behaviour are as important as the formal subjects a child must study. The formal academic experience, in an objective context, away from the family structure, also satisfies the child’s growing sense of independence.
As a conclusion, base on the statement of children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should append most of their time on school studies, I agree that. This is because early education offers children a host of benefits at different levels. The school experience sets the child on a path to success and self-confidence in a competitive, demanding world. All of this may have a good advantage to children in the future.

Every parent’s dream is to see their children becoming a successful person and working a highly-paid job. Some of these people believe that the only way for their children to reach their goals and fulfil their dreams is by studying very hard from an early age. It may be true that without hard work, success is impossible to achieve, but I think that the children should spend their childhood playing games with their peers.
On the other hand, playing could also be a learning process. It is needless to say, that many children are very creative and dexterous and these qualities could be developed only on the playground together with other boys and girls. When the children have the freedom and independence to discover the secrets of the world, they also learn how to deal with different problems. For instance, if you let a child to open his fruit juice by himself, it would be a great pleasure for him to see that he has succeeded. At school, the children are brainwashed and their imagination is oppressed by the useless information which is given every single day. While playing with other children, kids can practically learn a lot of new things- how to cooperate with others and how to form friendships. 19. I believe that education is a lifelong process, not limited to any certain age, place, etc. Certainly a child of 2-3 should be exposed to a lot of age appropriate learning resources, but that does not mean they are sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day.

Many people want a curriculum for 2 and 3 year olds. I think that's totally unnecessary, but it comes from hearing people advertize their daycare's curriculum. If a parent is talking to their 2 or 3 year old, reading them stories, helping them explore the world around them, pointing out colors and shapes and letters, and also counting things, then there is no need for a curriculum. If a parent is unable to figure out the sorts of things to expose a child to, then they might need a list such as the "typical course of study" list.

I don't think most kids benefit from formal education until somewhere around 6 or 7. Young kids are wired to learn through play, they learn constantly and from everything, and they do best if they drive their own learning instead of having it directed by a parent or teacher.

Young kids learn best by exploring and playing. Mostly kids learn things like colors, shapes, maybe counting and the ABC song at that age. Beginning formal learning like with workbooks and textbooks should depend upon the child. When the child can concentrate for 10-15 minutes and shows an interest in books, writing, and counting then they are ready for kindergarten. This can be anywhere between 4 and as late as 6 or 7. Even then, it should be kept fun, basic, and low key.

What do you mean by "formal" school lessons? Here's my opinion: workbooks and paper and pencil activities should wait until a child is school aged, say 5 or 6. But there is no reason you can teach the same concepts through play and hands-on activities. Activities at that age should be geared toward play. Just because a child is young doesn't mean you don't talk about letters, shapes, numbers, patterns, in a fun way. That for a little kid is formal learning and all the pre-academic skills they need.

  20. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with> Why?

Some people think children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. It’s not the main issue because many parents want their children to acquire better scholastic achievements in future. Hence, they compel them to attend classes and use their free time at home to study at the very early age. However, I believe that most of their time should be spent on playing. An eight hour for educational studying is very hard for the children so that should be alternate with time to playing.

Actually, the young children are able to study many things around them by playing. Young age children is learn much better by the searching during playing because they are can see the new thing. Furthermore, the new thing that they are found is an interested thing and of course it’s make them want to explore of that. So, in my view the young children is not compulsory to completed their time with formal education totally.

Beside, the young children memory is much better than adults. Because of the fact, many parents want the best to their children and forget about the other device which make the child is more creative and bethink always. For the example, the games like computer games, play station (PS2) and else. Some people think that the games is a waste the time and make their children is dreamy. But for my opinion, when the parents are scheduling their child for playing, it’s will not create for any problems. Maybe the young children can use the games at the week end after they are tired for formal education.

Moreover, although knowledge from books more detailed and precise, children often find it very dry and boring so that they do not want to read them. However, when they play, they can observe the real natural phenomena happening. These live things can attract their attentions, and then, the youngsters will try to look for the explanations from their parents. For instance, they may ask the adults the reasons why plants bloom if they see many flowers in their playing fields. When we answer their questions, they automatically gain the knowledge without academic lessons at schools.

Furthermore, playing helps them in developing better physical conditions. At the very early age, the most important thing for young children is health. When they play in the gardens, or in the parks, they can breathe fresh air due to many green trees in these places. They are running and laughing help them to strengthen their muscles. The children are also provided enough vitamin D obtained from sunlight. They will have better immune systems that can protect them from many diseases. On the other hand, if they stay at home and study too much, they may have the risk of getting fatter and fatter. When the childrens is healthy, they are can concentrate in the studies.

In short, for the reasons above, I strongly agree with the idea that young children should spend most of their time on playing more than on studying at school. By playing, they not only are able to learn many useful things, but they also can develop comprehensively.

  21. There is a hot debate these days concerning the education of children. Some people believe that children should begin formal education at a very early age while others think that young children should spend most of their time playing. From my perspective, I think children should not be burdened with school early because childhood is the only time that they will have the chance to live a relatively free life and play. In addition, it contributes to child development.
To begin with, childhood is a previous time in that it is the one chance that they will have to be carefree and innocent. Seeing that children are facing up to sixteen years or more of education, there is really no rush to start them off early. The first years of a child’s life should be for fun and games, not books and homework. It is very important that children have the chance to learn that enjoying life is also an important lesson to learn. The pure joy and fun of being a child are too quickly forgotten by most people as it is, so I do not think that it is good to deprive children of that wonderful period in their lives.
Not only is it important to let a child have fun just for the sake of fun, but childhood is also a productive time in terms of child development. Playing a major contributor to the physical, mental and social development of children, and therefore, children who begin their education too early will most likely be physically weaker and socially inept. When they are playing in the park with other kids, they are using and developing their bodies, which promotes healthy growth. By learning to compromise, share, cooperate and take responsibility in play, they are developing mental health and social skills that will benefit them during their entire lives. If they are buried under academics at an early age, they will not have the opportunity to develop these all-important skills.
In conclusion, school is a normal part of life, and the early years of childhood spent playing is also normal. Early childhood is a period of fun and innocence everyone should experience. This time is also necessary for physical, mental and social development. Forcing children to skip this will only distort their views of life and cause them to be less developed in many aspects.

Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. On my view, this is good to open the child mind in the early age. If they are exposing to education environment in the early age, they will get fast study in whatever input are given to them. It is also can help the child to become mature early in the future. Normally them who are stating school in the early age, they are got places in the good class in the primary and secondary school. So, they have big chances to be success in the future.

And others believe that young children should spend most of the time playing. For this view, I think that it is also have the advantages. Spend time to playing; it can build the child thinking creatively beside to give them exercise to produce energy. The creative thinking can get from doing in and outside activities. From that they will practise many type of new activities that can make them feel satisfactory. But is they are spending most of time to playing, they will be get bad impact to them. Because from that the child can lax and reducing their feeling to study. For me, as parents, they must look after the children to make sure that the child have balanced in study and playing aspect. It is to prevent from they are only interested on playing.

For my site, I support to have study and play time is balanced. If the children not stat their formal education in the early age, they still can be good if having a balanced time to playing. It is better if the parent consent about this matter. Parent is playing a role to have good managed on their family and controlled their child activities. However, the parent can plan that what they what the child to be.

As a conclusion, it is good to have child stat the formal education in the early age. They can be mature early. But they also must have time to play to make they life balanced with colourful of life.

  23. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at very early age. Others believe that they should spend most of their time playing. compare these two views. Which view do you agree?

In many countries, children start their formal education at the age of four. They believe that children are ready, and can learn everything faster in this age. Although, many psychologists have an other idea. They believe formal education at this age, may be harmful to children development. I agree with these psychologists points of view, and I think children should not start their formal education at a very early age. In my opinion, they cannot tolerate the formal education stress, and cannot enjoy from their childhood. In addition, they can learn a lot of thing by playing and communicating with other children.

First of all, formal education means homework, assignment, exams and studying hard. These duties can cause stress, and may put a lot of pressure on children. Therefore, they may lose their interest to studying and learning.

Second, when children spend most of their time at school, they cannot enjoy from their life. Childhood is the best time in our life to feel free, without any responsibility and duty, but formal education may ruin this beautiful experience.

Finally, children can learn a lot of valuable things when they are playing. Many games and toys are designed to teach numbers, colors and alphabets to children. These toys help children to learn things faster and in a more fun way. In addition, playing with other children can help them to improve their communication's skill.

In summary, I believe that formal education at very early age is not a good idea. It may put a lot of pressure on children, and it will destroy their best time of their life. Moreover, children are able to learn many things by playing and communicating with others. So, why should we be in such a hurry to send our children to school at the very early age?

  25. Children are a wonderful gift from God. Their mind is so pure and innocent. How we treat them from the very young age determine what type of person the children going to be in the future. I do agree with the statement that young children should spend their time playing. Here are some reasons why I agree with the statement.
First of all, a child is still a child. Their mind is not develops well yet and they unable to make a decision by themselves. They do not even know how to differentiate between good and bad things. Toys and play are their world during this age. It is no use to force them for formal education at this very young age. During their age, they still do not know about responsibility and the importance of education unless the child is gifted like Adi Putra, the mathematic genius.
Children who are forced to formal education at a very young age tends to rebel to their parents in the future because they are not allowed to feel the childhood ages like their friends. They will fight against their parents and questioning them. They feel that they deserve to have a wonderful childhood experience like their friends and they will blame the parents for not having those experiences.
Formal education at a very young age is not well impressive as it will give pressure to children. Children at young age should not be stress up with books and heavy education because their mind is not well develops. Children should be on their own, experience the joy of childhood. Form playing also children can learn. Learning can be everywhere and anywhere. Learning also does not require only books and lecture, but also experience through life. Children should be exposed with this kind of experience from young age so that they will know how life is.
As a conclusion, it is no use force children to a formal education at a very young age because childhood time is a joyful experience for children. Children does not deserve a stressful condition during their childhood age as they are still small and young to be exposed to a stressful life like adult.

  26. Most of couples especially new experienced parents who have children will probably think about the same matter. It is about when to start to educate their children formally. Some parents prefer to start formal education of their children as early as possible, while others prefer to wait for several years let their kids to fill up their playing. In my opinion, I believed that starting formal education at an early age, though is beneficial, is too dangerous. Thus, I would refrain from early formal studies for my children in future.

As I said, beginning to formally educate children too early can have negative consequences. It is because, formal education may be considered uninteresting by especially to young children. At an early age, almost all children are very active preferring games and entertainments to anything that seems dull and boring. Of course, even formal education can savor interest, but, generally, real-world formal classes are too boring for a young person. Besides, formal education effect to the early metal development. It not only decrease a child's development rate but it also diminish the desire to study and reduce his or her self-confidence. What is more, many classes work by standardized programs and they do not take into account peculiarities of each student.

Instead of formal education, playing is actually one process of education which is more suitable to the young children. Young children are more attracted to learn something more effectively by their own experience, mistake or indirect teaching such as through singing or tales. With this, it is not wrong if young person opt to spend their time playing rather than torture them in class with unstoppable lecture.

To sum up, formal education started at an early age is a good idea. While it promises early mental development, it can as well be ineffective and even harmful for young children. Thus, starting formal education at an early age is too dangerous, and I would wait until a child reaches an age of six-seven years before starting to educate his or her formally.

They have to spend most of their time playing in order to feel the happiness, the comfort and the enthusiasm of life. However, spending most of time playing prevents children from having any regrets about their childhood. Because they have spent all the necessary time to play, and they will be plenty ready to study. Also, children who begin studying at very early age will dislike the moments of studying; because they think that studying prevent them from playing, which every child wants to do at this age.

In my opinion, children should begin their formal education at a very early age. They have to spend most of time on their school studies. According to some research and studies, children can learn a lot at an early age. They are construing their mind, so they have to boost their intelligence and their memory by studying.

  28. Childhood time is the best time of learning. The child brains are absorbed whatever they learn like a sponge. The environment surround the child bring the big impact to development of physically and mentally of the children. The child tends to learn whatever they see, hear and touch that surround they. The important point to ponder for the parents is to promote the safety, health and comfort for the development of children. The parents should provide their children the effective way of education.
There are two different way to begin and introduce the education to the child, which is formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. In my view, I was agreed that the learned formal education at the young age is the effective way of education for the child development.
Parents nowadays tend to send their children to school as young as 3 years old. The child during this age is more likely to play than study. So that, the studied with play are the suitable technique of learning process for the children mental development. The children in the pre-school are not only learned the formal education but also they will learned of communication skill by share and played with other friends from different gender and race. They will share their idea and learning each other.
The teachers are the most important people to the child during the school time. The child tend to cry all the time because there is no parents and they feel unsecured with the environment. The teacher roles is ensure that the children feel secured and get the trust of them before they start the learning process. The learning process can be done on the different way to get the children attention to learn the basic of education.
In conclusion, the formal education at the young age is more recommended to the parents rather than spending all the time with playing. The people surround the children play the important role to build the good character of the child in future.

People learn through their entire lives. Curiosity was always the basic characteristic of a human being. We always want to break limits and learn more. At this point some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and spend most of their time on school studies. This will help them to succeed in the future. However, for several reasons, which I will explain bellow, I think that children should not study at a very early age.

Of cause, children who begin to study at a very early age have more chances to succeed in the future. They gain more knowledge and experience which are priceless and valuable. In addition, studying more now they will give them the opportunity to perfect their knowledge in the future and become better professionals.

I believe that children who begin their formal education at early age because this could be a good advantage in this competitive world, won’t waste their time, but could also have some time for playing. Nowadays everybody wants to be first, people compete every day for everything- a good education, job, house, and so on. Therefore, if children start their school preparation earlier, they’ll have a better chance to succeed in life.

However, I think that every child must have his or her childhood. Children should learn through playing and communication with their friends and parents. I think that such basic qualities as kindness, self-confidence and just a good sense of humour cannot be gained from studying. Children should more time spend with their family, playing and learning with their parents. Imagine that a child instead of playing with his friends does his homework and feel exhausted and tired. Another important aspect of this is that children at their early ages need more exercise because at this age the development of their body is a very essential aspect. Children first of all must be healthy.
To sum up, I think that children should have their careless childhood with no responsibilities. Moreover, I am sure that playing helps them develop not only their bones and muscles but their ability to make decisions, analyze things, make conclusions, which is very good for their future.

Childhood is one of the most memorable periods in our life. During childhood, we learnt so many new things and in that period is the vital time for children growth and development. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. For me, I disagree with this opinion because at a very young age, children should spend most of their time on playing because it will help the children to growth actively and the mentally aspect also will develop creatively.
Firstly, children should spend their young age on playing because at that time is the time for the brain to growth. Children who are surrounding with colourful environment and will help to develop of brain cell’s connection. They do not need to focus on books itself because with materials like toys or colourful objects also can help their brains to develop well. They will learn faster and at the same time growth as a very active child.
Besides that, when children spend most of their time on playing, they usually develop important skills of creativity. Children will have high imagination and can develop certain creative skills on future. They may become someone who will give advantages or new invention afterwards. Playing will help them to act actively and their brain will growth healthily. If young children spend more time on studies, they will feel bored and they do not have to enjoy their childhood. Childhood is the time to explore all new things in life.
In addition, young children need to spend more time on playing because they will encourage their interest in certain thing. For example, when they playing cube or something related to building, they may interest to become architect when they grownups. Furthermore, the suitable age for children start focusing on studies is in the age of 4 or 5 years old. Young children do not have to force themselves to study too much. It is enough when they know about numbers and letters.
To sum up, young children need to play more than focusing on their studies. They need to play and learn new things that related to life. Childhood is the time to learning but not in a formal learning. Children need to have some fun to make sure their life cheerful and full of colours. This time is the time to build their interest and let them to imagine what life they will go through on future.

  32. Many parents want their children to acquire better scholastic achievements in future. Hence, they compel them to attend classes and use their free time at home to study at the very early age. However, I believe that most of their time should be spent on playing.

By playing, young children are able to study many things around them. Different from adults, everything in front of their eyes is new and interesting. Therefore, they want to discover all things surrounding their houses and their playgrounds. When we force them to spend their time on formal education, we accidentally build the walls that separate them from the beautiful world outside.

Running and laughing help them to strengthen their muscles. The children are also provided enough vitamin D obtained from sunlight. They will have better immune systems that can protect them from many diseases. On the other hand, if they stay at home and study too much, they may have the risk of getting fatter and fatter. It is very dangerous for their health.

Finally, by playing, children are able to gain many skills. When they play with their friends, the youngsters can learn how to cooperate with their team-mates to win the opponents in games. Sometimes, there are arguments between the children. These are chances for them to practice the skill in solving their problems to make everyone feel content. In reverse, when the youngsters use most of their time to study, their limbs become passive. In addition, they cannot develop the ability to communicate with other people.

In short, for the reasons above, I strongly agree with the idea that young children should spend most of their time on playing more than on studying at school. By playing, they not only are able to learn many useful things, but they also can develop comprehensively.

Moreover, they can learn important lessons, when seeing the mistakes of the others.

In conclusion, I would say that it is better for the children to play with other kids or toys, while they are still young enough to enjoy it fully. Playing is an important part of every person’s life as it helps us to develop physically and mentally healthy. However, when children reach school age the best solution for them is to start gaining knowledge that would be useful for their future.

  34. Should a children spend more time on school studies or more time on play? The answer to this question depend on the quality of the school and the quality of the play. Wherever children spend their time, they should be active participants, not passive observers.
Not all schools are the same. In some schools, children must sit quietly all day and memorize dates and facts. In other schools, children are encouraged to participate in different kinds of activities. They are encouraged to ask questions, to interact with other children, and to experience things.
Not all students play the same way. Some children prefer to watch TV or video games. Other children enjoy games that involve physical activities, using imagination, or playing with other children.
Not all children are the same, but all children have the same requirements for learning. They learn when their minds and their bodies are active. They learn when they socialize with other children. They can do these things during school time or during play time. It doesn’t matter when or where they do these things, it only matter that they do them.
Children can learn a lot from formal education and they can learn a lot from play. Parents needs to make sure that the time their children spend in school is quality time. They need to make sure that the time their children spend at playing is also quality time. Then they can feel assured that their children are getting the experiences they need to learn and grow.

  35. A child is being brought up by their parent whom loves them very much and parents want the best for their child in order the child will get enough attention and care from their parents. Therefore, parents will do what they think is the best for their beloved child. Some may think a formal education should begin at early age and other believes children should spent most of their time playing. As we can see there are two points in this issue.
However, in my opinion is I believe that young children should spend most of their time playing as whatever it is a child is still a child. That is how we identify their growth and development through playing and interaction with other children.
No doubt early education is important for the child which will give them a bright future. But the fact is formal education at young age will certainly give an effect to the child. They are unable to enjoy their childhood times and might not have a happy childhood time. Other than that, when it comes to formal education, a child have to face the reality life with a task and examinations, these will definitely gives a pressure to the child to study and even parents giving the child stress. This will make the child lose intention is their studies. It is very bad to give a pressure to a child at a young age.
Moreover, when the child started going to school. They will not have time to play and enjoy their life. . There are many ways in learning by teaching them through communication, recognizing object, pronunciations. As we can see, children can learn a lot of valuable things when they are playing. Many games and toys are designed to teach numbers, colours and alphabets, letters to children. These toys help children to learn things faster and in a more fun way. In addition, playing with other children can help them to improve their communication skills.
To sum it up, a formal education is important but it is not suitable for the child age. They need to enjoy their childhood time before the step to education level. Children should not have to hold responsibilities because they are still young, there are many things they need to be expose step by step not all in one time at the early age.

Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. From my opinion, I do agree with the statement that the children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Children absorb the learning like a sponge. So for the beginning, the children should spend most of their time to study.
In my positive aspect, it is easy to teach the children while they are young. They are easily to follow the instruction compare to the young adult. Many type of learning that our children should learn such as in our daily living. As children, they must know their role to get a successful in their studies. Otherwise, they must have a vision and mission in their life. As a parent, we must know our children’s behaviour more than them. So, the parent can do close monitoring to their children.
Formal education is a process of training and developing people in knowledge, skills, mind, and character in a structured and certified program. Why our children should have a formal education? Education is a vital factor in the pursuit of success and happiness. The more formal education you acquire, therefore, the greater will be your opportunity for a happy and rewarding life.
Children should have enough knowledge in order to build their career in the future. Besides that, most of the profession needs the worker that has enough knowledge and experience. The children can find an experience while they are at school. Moreover, the teacher will help the children in their learning process. It is not difficult for children to collect an experience while at the school. They will use the communication skill as a technique in their study to ask as much of question and observe the way of their teacher teach them.
As a parent, we must expose our children to the something that will give benefit to their study. It will help the children to be more knowledgeable and intellectual. We should encourage our children to a critical thinker. Otherwise, we must give some motivation and encouragement to our children to continue their learning at school. We must be creative to make the learning more cheerful and attractive to our children.
In short, children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. They must have a goal in their life that they must reach in future. Parent and teacher is the best person in order to encourage the children in learning process.

  37. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. That why many parents send their children to school since the early age as earlier as 3 years. Nowadays, many school provided class for children at the early age such as pre-school. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. For me, I most preferred my child to get the formal education at a young age.

Why we should have to send our children to get the formal education at the young age? First, the reason is to give them an education. We know that learning process is beginning in early age. So, that why we have to send them early. Usually some of our children start school life with crying because they felt afraid and not familiar with the school environment. When they starting their education at a young age, they have time to be familiar with the new environment and will felt more fun and happy to study.
School environment must be fun. From the playing game, they will learn something new. This because some of the method that teachers use is so attractive that makes the children more interest to learn. For example, learn the ‘ABC’ from the puzzle with the picture. This method make them felt more enjoy. So, from this method, they learn something new and enjoy with what they was learn before. This also can build their creativity through their learning.
For the formal education at the young age, the parent or teachers have to patient. The children must free from forcing or pressure. This can disturb their studies. They have to studies by their own interest but not forcing. From the education, the children will felt that themselves more confident because at the early age they got many friend and able to communicate among them at the school.
As a conclusion, I totally agree that the children should begin their formal education at a very young age. The studies are gave more opportunity to the students. So, formula education is must started at young age and the parents have a consideration and give them time to spend for play.

Childhood is an essential time to be use wisely. Studies and playing is important in child development. Both of this aspect bring pro and contrast if been teach to the child in the correct ways.
Formal education in early age can help the child to be good in future, but if too much pressure given in early age can develop feeling of hating the school. The point is, the child must go for study but we need to overcome the problem of bored with the school by make the subject interesting to kids. The attraction subject will encourage kids to school.
Besides that, they also need to balance the study with the playing. The children learn their creativity from playing. The IQ and EQ will increase while the child playing. Too much playing also not good for kids. This is because they will lose their focus and concentrate to study. They will start lazy go to school for playing and sometimes daydream for the fantasy. If they are play games that can introduce them to the successful way is good but if they just play for nothing it is other way round.
Introducing the formal education in early stages without stress may be the best action to make a great future for the child. They will become a good learner as well a good market in their field. It also happens if the child is good in playing something. For example, a kid can play piano; it is advantages to the kid because of the ability to be well known in their own categories.
As the summary, both of the subjects of learning and playing is good. The point is how the education is given to the child with the syllabus that been introduce to the child is important. The subject should not be so stress. It must be a fun learning and attractive. Besides that the subject also need to be balance with the playing. This condition provides a child a better development session that encourages the child to be better in many fields.

Nowadays, some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. But, others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. And for me, both of this thing has their own advantages and disadvantages. Balancing in this both of things is most important things.
If the children begin their formal education at a very young age and they spend most of their time on school studies, they will become more serious in their education. Because since they born, they start with the things that give a lot of good impact to their mind. So, when they go for school such as kindergarten, they feel that the things is very common to them and easy for them to catch it without any problem. Because since they born, the habitual is learn, learn and learn.
But, we must realize that, if they all always in their world of education, sometime they will become serious and also become stress. Because they don’t know how to playing and also they has a lot of problem such as inability to socialization and also inability to communicate. Because of that, we must balance their activity. Formal education is good for their own future and also playing is also important to stay and maintained healthy to get a good health.
Others that believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. For me, it is not good because if the young children is addicted to playing, they will forget about their studies. How about their future? They cannot playing all the time because this children also must have education for their own future to be an educated people.
As a conclusion, we can conclude that we must know that balancing in education and playing is most important to make our children be a good people .If the young children always playing in their life, can you imagine what about their life and future. And also can you imagine if our young children is always studies and not spend their time to playing, they will become stress and it is nor good for their own health.

  40. Nowadays, children are one person that is important for their parents to make them happy with their life. Actually children should begin their formal education at a very young age such as at two years and above. But sometime, children need to spend most of their time to play with same age and groups. With that scenario, all the parents need their child become a successful person when they grow up in the future.
I think I agree with that statements that children should spend most their time on school studies. For example, we can imagine that certain parents have some effort to support their child especially in the early age. The reason I said like that because in the early stage of age child are easy to handle and manage their attitude. Other than that, the mind and brain are fast to absorb other knowledge that the parents and other people surrounding them are talk to the child.
Furthermore, they are easy to catch up all the information that we teach for them. For example, if certain parents give them some knowledge especially in religion aspects. It is important to all the parents give them in early age. Consequently, we can manage their time in formal education either in live or not in live. Other example, we can send them to Islamic school for their learning process in the future.
In addition, in the young age especially in two years and above, actually child can follow the instruction by their parents. For example, if parents instruct and advise the child in anything such as go to Islamic school they can obey the instruction and automatically do it as soon as possible. Other reason is in this age they are easy to create without any problems. If we create them with play first it can make some problem such as they are not pay attention and not interested with the formal education.
In a nutshell, parents should give a formal education and spend most of their time on school studies since childhood. As we know, parents are essential for create their own child with the practical either at home or school. Consequently, majority child will follow the attitude of their parents. Furthermore, we cannot give fully straight education without playing with their friends in the evening. With that scenario, the parents must alert and can balance either they want to give the formal education or just spend most their time playing. It depends to all parents to create the own child.

I strongly believe that overloading the children with information, such as arithmetic formula, foreign languages and chemical equations, may be damaging for their physical development and personality. Having exams and tests, may be very stressful for the little children and as a result they may begin to detest the educational system.

  43. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with> Why?

Many people may think that children should spend their time doing school studies and others may think that they should play. While I can see advantages and disadvantages to both approaches, I feel more strongly that children should spend most of their time on school studies. When these children grow up, I think they will be more successful that the children that played around when they should have studied.
There are many reasons that I feel that way. Like for instance if there is a little girl who always does her school studies and the other children are outside playing. She would feel sad that she is not playing outside with the other children. Though having the children play too much, and when they go to school they will think everything is carefree. I think they should be more successful that the children that played around when they should have done school studies.
These children that have studied hard can do many important things for the environment, people and the world. For example one child may be able to invent a way to save Mother Earth.
So that is why I think children should work on school studies than playing.

  44. Formal Education Or Playing At Young Age

Every parent’s dream is to see their children becoming a successful person and working a highly-paid job. Some of these people believe that the only way for their children to reach their goals and fulfill their dreams is by studying very hard from an early age. It may be true that without hard work, success is impossible to achieve, but I think that the children should spend their childhood playing games with their peers.

On the one hand, children who are spending most of their time on school studies may later regret that they have not spent their childhood adequately. Having exams and tests, may be very stressful for the little children and as a result they may begin to detest the educational system.

Beside that, playing could also be a learning process. It is needless to say, that many children are very creative and dexterous and these qualities could be developed only on the playground together with other boys and girls. When the children have the freedom and independence to discover the secrets of the world, they also learn how to deal with different problems. Moreover, they can learn important lessons, when seeing the mistakes of the others.

Formal education means homework, assignment, exams and studying hard. These duties can cause stress, and may put a lot of pressure on children. Therefore, they may lose their interest to studying and learning. When children spend most of their time at school, they cannot enjoy from their life. Childhood is the best time in our life to feel free, without any responsibility and duty, but formal education may ruin this beautiful experience.

  45. All parent want to see their children successful in their life. So, study and play have to come together that means they have to be equal.
Children first of all must be healthy.
Furthermore, playing helps them in developing better physical conditions. At the very early age, the most important thing for young children is health. When they play in the gardens, or in the parks, they can breathe fresh air due to many green trees in these places.

To sum up, I think that children should have their careless childhood with no responsibilities. Moreover, I am sure that playing helps them develop not only their bones and muscles but their ability to make decisions, analyze things, make conclusions, which is very good for their future.

  46. ESSAY 18
I agree with both situations. So if I had children, I would let them play and study at the same time. This is because I believe young children do not need hard studying, they just needed moderate studying. So, in my opinion, children need both playing and studying.
At first, most young children would like to go outside to play. However, some want to make their children study. Then their children would be stressed, because their friends were playing outside, but they could not. So they would not study anymore. In my case, a friend of my sister studied very hard since she was really young, but when she entered high school, she stopped studying, because she thought she did not want to study any more. In fact she changed her mind to resist to her parents. Her parents always gave her stress. Also she met bad friends who were smoking and drinking. Later, when she had a chance to go to university or college, she could not go any university or college. It was because she needed to raise her grades. So I believe if children studied from a very young age, they would be so stressed that it would make the children tired.
However, it is better study and play simultaneously. It said some play or exercise would get rid of stress. Most students studied at least for 30 minutes up to 12 hours sitting on their own chair without exercising. It made the students' health bad. Maybe later, they might have some ill effects which include being overweight, disk of waist? or disk of neck?. So they needed more exercising for their health. Also, the book said it hoped the children's parents would play with their children. The parents would be good friends or they also would teach them.
In summary, if I got married and had children, I would let them play and study for their heath. Also I would do some exercises or play some games with my husband and my children. Then maybe my children will not dislike studying, and they'll also exercise very well.

If a child studies to much, he or she could also have social problems. This kind of children are called bookwarms by their classmates and are usually not beloved.

I started reading books on age of five and believe that studying could be part of children’s childhood and also could make it even better.

People learn through their entire lives. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and spend most of their time on school studies.

  52. In this competitive world, we as parents think that education is very imporant for the child to develop interpersoanl skills that this will lead to a very successful life later. But we tend to forget that playing is alos imporat in the precious period of life called "childhood" as this time of childhood will never come back. So I think both studying and taking time off for playing is very important.

Firstly, children have got a great sense of grasping as compared to adults and they learn faster as well. They also have very good memory power and can indeed leave all of us behind. For example, while shopping, I just told my 2 years old daughter a name of a fruit "strawberry" and then she tried to memorise it by repeating twice or thrice. To my wonder, afetr few days, when I took to buy friuts, she is repeating strawberry after looking at that fruit in the shop. I was really surprised and was taken away by her intellual and memory power. Alos at very young age, children learn faster.

On the other hand, by playing with other/neighbour's kids, they tend to develop interpersoanl skills and learn how to share things, be cooperative and lear to mingle with other children. Playing also help them exercise and this very imporatnt as we have seeing kids suffering from obesity like dieases. Also if children tend to fall and get uop themselves and this makes them at least independent in life. By expoing them to fresh air can really boost up their immunity and health.

So in my opinion, both studies and playing are important for children's development.

  54. Children are like an empty cloth that parents will create it to be good or not. Parents will always think about their children’s education and the knowledge of their child compare by their friend’s children. I think the children should start their formal education at very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies than spend most of their time playing. Every parent’s dream is to see their children becoming a successful person and working a highly-paid job.
Success is impossible to achieve, without hard work. Children who begin their formal education at a very early age and spend most of time on school studies will gain the habitude to study. They will have the ability to study by themselves, and progressively the parents will not find any problem with the education of their children.
Learning that knowledge is important in our life is the key that a child should know. Children should spend their time in study than playing a game or activity that not gives a lot of benefit for them. Children have all the life to play not only at the age of childhood. So, they have to focus on their study rather than spending most of time playing. Focus in study is very important to children because without focusing, they can not clearly understand what they had learned.
I strongly believe that children can learn a lot at an early age, so it is the best time for them to study and gaining knowledge. Parents should manage their children's time between playing and studying to encourage their child can manage it well. Children will try to make their studies fun and it make them like to learning in their studies.
To sum up, I think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and spend most of their time on school studies to help them to succeed in the future. Parents need to make sure that the time their children spend in school is quality time. Then they can feel assured that their children are getting the experiences they need to learn and grow.

  56. Children are always known for their fantasy life. They all like playing with their friends and also toys. We can see a normal children will always playing every time sometimes non-stop. For them, when their play, they actually learn, but the learning process is not much. They have to go to school and gain more knowledge because it is important in the future

Children must know knowledge that they gain today are very useful in the future. The teacher also must be creative to teach children because the children always think about fantasy. Important for the teacher to always put some fantasy in the teaching method so that the student can enjoy their study. It is actually a challenge for the teacher to educate them.

Teacher also can do some activities such as coloring and also drawing in their syllabus so that is can attract the children more. As the children love to play, this teaching method is a very suitable. The children will enjoy and also can gain more knowledge. This is the way to approach the children mind.

When the children start their school time at the very young age, it is actually not a waste of time. It is because, at the school, they also can play and in addition, they can make more friends. As in the young age, their mind is still fresh and less influence from the outside. So it is more easier for the children to gain knowledge from the teacher. It is why, the children should begin their school studies at the young age.

Furthermore, they also can master the basic thing more faster such as the ABC and also the simple mathematics. They can learn many things after they already master the basic things. It can learn faster and also can gain more knowledge. Other than knowledge, they also can gain their confidence. It can encourage the children to talk to others. The confidence that they gain can make them be more courage to speak to others without being shy

It is not a bad things to start learning in the young age. We as a human always being told to gain knowledge as early as possible so that we will not waste our time. We also can enjoy playing after the study. We as a parent should balance their children life.

  58. Question 18
Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with> Why?
Every parent’s dream is to see their children becoming a successful person and working a highly-paid job. Some of these people believe that the only way for their children to reach their goals and fulfill their dreams is by studying very hard from an early age. It may be true that without hard work, success is impossible to achieve, but I think that the children should spend their childhood playing games with their peers.
On the one hand, children who are spending most of their time on school studies may later regret that they have not spent their childhood adequately.
Besides, playing could also be a learning process.

  60. Children now a day will start to go to the school in early of age 3 years old. Some parents think that they should send their children to the school as soon as possible to make sure that the children is giving the first experience in the early age. But some of the children cannot accept it because in think that they still very young and cannot separate with their parent. For me i think that the children should go to the as soon as possible or when they are ready because they will learn so many things in the school.
School like kinder garden is the most suitable for those who just want to start their learning process. This school is not just providing the time to study but the children also can play at the same times. As we know children in age below then six years old is not mature enough and the environment in the kinder garden is suitable for them to study and play with other at the same times.
I think that starting to go to the school early is great because we can prepare our children early before they go to the real situation of school environment. I am sure that these children will be able to manage their self better in the primary school because they have been in the school before but just the environment is quite different.
Sometimes we also must to think that all the children must enjoy their life being a child. If a child studies too much, he or she could also have social problems which is they may not able to social with other people. It is true that the children may learn better in the early age but their time as a children also need to be consider.
As a conclusion the choice is depends on the parent itself. They have the right to choose the best thing whether they want to send their children to have early experience in the school or not.

Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with? Why?

Children are like white clothing where they will ease to absorb and ease to learning something weather by wording and through our action. The child can follow all action that has been their seen by their parent action. Besides that, early education is very needed in child especially in early of their ages that because early education is very effectively for children because their already practice it in young age.

I am very agree with some view said, the children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies that because for me the best time to educate their child is in early age the children. Children in early ages are in process of learning where they all ease to pick up everything knowledge that has we given to them. In this process, a formal education must for them as ensure their mind will development as well according by their age.

Furthermore, parent must play a important roles to their children about the important of studies and must expose them with formal education in early ages it is as a their practice and knowledge for them and suitable with their development in early ages.
When the child grew up their can be more clever to manage time their studies and play time. At the same time the child which has been expose to formal education during they all still small, when their grow up their a not feel bored and be more concentrate with their studies because this spirit to studies has been in their soul.

Beside that, time for playing for me also must have because follow research has been done the children learned more and their mind will develop as well through playing. In this ages parent must ensure their children a not to much expose them with playing without studies that because it can make the children forgetful and careless with their studies because in their mind only remember about the playing time only. Parent must teach their child to balance their activities and their studies time.

In conclusion, Parent must ensure their child to get a formal education in early ages because as knowledge for them and ensure their mind develop as well according with their age.

  65. 18. Agree or disagree childhood should spend most of their times with school studies or playing.

Childhood is probably one of the most essential periods of a person’s life and should be spent wise. Both choices to spend it mainly in studying or playing games have its advantages and disadvantages.

These kinds of children are called bookworms by their classmates and are usually not beloved.

I started reading books on age of five and believe that studying could be part of children’s childhood and also could make it even better.

  68. At the young age, children should spend their time on playing. During the process of development they need an active mind and physical to build the confidence on them self. So, I approximately agree that the children should spend more time on playing rather than send them to the schools. But, the age factors should be assess for suitable time to them for study.
Playing makes them as an active child. They will able to socialize with other children by sharing and playing the games. Besides, their world is not separates with the outsider. It is compel to children that having early formal education unable and poor in build up the relations among the peer group. For example, the children will get more attractive to know their surrounding if they expose to the figures. They may ask for many things especially on the nature and have a better explanation by the parents.
Children that expose to the early formal education usually could not make use the time completely as children. Some of them may suffer and having a tortures in mentally by the parents that gives a high expectation on the academic performance. Children that spend time on playing at the young age will get a better physical condition and have a good health. Sunlight gives enough vitamin D besides they could breathe the fresh air. Children are the person that we must appreciate. Children are the person who did not know like an adult and need the protection to ensure the way that children will become. In my opinion, I think that children should begin their formal education since young age and should spend most of their time on school study. It is because many benefit that we can get if the children start from the beginning. First point that I believe the children will get the benefit if they start study from young is they will able to increase their knowledge. They will be able to pass the exam if they start from the beginning. For an example, if they accommodate with the school environment, they will able to stay at school in primary school.
Other than that, the children also can find as many as friend if they start from the beginning. As we know, if the children going to school since children, they will have fun at the school because of many friend that they can find. It also will increase the social behavior among of children because nowadays many children did not like to playing outside with other friend because of many indoor games has been created such as playing the play station games. Other than that, we also can increase the language among the children such as English speaking. As we know, nowadays English language is the important language in our country. So from that we able to increased our children knowledge to speak English.
As we know, young children did not like to stress. So we did not teach them with tough subject. We can teach them with simple word such as chicken. We also can teach them to different between chicken and cow. So they will able to recognize. Children actually easier to learn, so if we start from the beginning to teach them, they will easy to accept and can apply in their home.
As the conclusion, I strongly believe that children should begin their formal education at young age and should spend most of their time on school studies because it can affect their future. It is because nowadays, many brilliant students have been in our country. So we need to make our children knowledge so that they able to increased their knowledge to be a brilliant person.

  71. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and should spend most of their time on their school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with? Why?

Nowadays, normally both parents have to work in full time job to provide a certain good living conditions to their family. Consequently, most of the parents have to send their children to day care since their early ages. Therefore, children tend to start their education and socialization earlier.
In my opinion, young children should do both. Spending their time playing and at the same time learning from what they are playing with.

Therefore, before parents send children to the child care or even to a kinder garden, they should spend a couple of their time asking and searching what kind of method the facility used to use to teach their children.
As we all know, children in their early ages are fast learner and most of them are energetic children. Therefore, they should be stimulated to have an active and participative educational process. For example: children should be stimulated to play with educational toys, to interact with their classmates and also be stimulated to speak out.
By playing with educational toys, and by listening to children songs, they would be able to start to learn the first alphabet letters and also it would stimulate children to speak their first words and by playing with their classmates they would learn the first steps for socialization.

For all reasons that I have described above, I do believe that children should be stimulated since their early ages. Therefore, depending on the way how they have been stimulated they would be able to learn while they are playing which would make their learning process become more funny and easier.

Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree?
The first I think is young children are very like to spend time for playing but in the young age we should provide the education as the child is 4 years old. This is because the child nowadays is cleverer and very easy to absorb the knowledge. So, the parents have taken this opportunity to send their child to the kindergarten. Meanwhile, the education should beginning from houses and must teach them according to their level of age.
Firstly, the young children mostly like to playing, they playing for learning. So, we as the parents should guide them to know and recognize the new thing that they were discovery. At this age, they will ask many questions to us because they are very want to know. As example, a young boy was kicking the ball while playing, but then he ask why the ball go as he kick the ball. So, definitely we explain to him, and at the same time he was playing and learning.
We should give early education to young child as her brain can absorb the knowledge easily as sponge. This is opportunity to the parents to have diligent child. As example, if the child was exposes speaking in English since them still young, they will able to communicate fluently in English.
By the way, if the parents not give the early education to them and only depend on the school, they will leave behind and slow development of mental and their brain. Parents also should not force the young child to study hard until their not have time to spend for playing since their naturally really like to play because they are very active.
Ultimately, I am very agreeing to expose the young child to the early education as they are very fast leaner. Moreover, parents must educate the child from home before she or he entered the school but should teach in the right method to avoid mentally abuse to the child.

  73. Begin a formal education at a very young age are not the most effective way to ensure that the child growth with knowledgeable and brilliant. School studies at young age does not hundred percent guaranteed to train a child to become a successful person at all because children learnt not only from the school classes; they are learnt from their observant and curiosity feeling.

In my opinion, a child should not be sent to a formal education at a very young age because during this period, they learn most from their playing and trying a new thing.
It is correct to start the formal education earlier, but they should not be stressed on that education only. They have to be given time for they to play among themselves and find a new way of playing whatsoever. As we know, nowadays kindergartens also provide a recreation time to ensure the children got their time to play around.

Playing, trying something new and researching are the most important in grabbing the chances for a job. For example to be an engineer, they not only focus on the tutorial classes, but they need to stress more on trying to do it by self. If we are hoping to produce a good quality of child, we have to give them time to play and opportunity to do something which is new for them. From that way, we can create a pioneer for any kind of job or the child will be a creator for a big huge machine. Don’t you think that was a proudly finding?

Formal education is a knowledge that we have to have in our life. But it is not as important as experiences that we gained during playing around. We also can assess the child’s ability and physical movement during they are playing. It means we can detect if there is any abnormalities in that particular child’s movement.

As conclusion, I found that starting formal education at a very young age not contribute much to train a child. They need to seek their own experience in conducting a situation, so that they learn deeper and trained personally.

  75. Nowadays, children are very intelligent, smart and independent. The children are very advance and have a good critical thinking different from our days. So, it depend on parents to serve a formal education to children who are begin at very young age or later.

For me, I would prefer to have formal education later means that not very young to introduce education for them. They have a lot of aspect to give them early education. For children, they craving for playing time between educations maybe it are because they don’t know the important about education. But for me, it a small matters. We can introduce education slowly by using electronic user such as television, or video.

First of all, by introduce children education early may end up to get bored because too long in pre-school and it can make children fed up to learn new thing. To them, it is not challenging and has some attraction. Other than that, to have later education, it will not feel bored such as they don’t learn same thing at every school.

After that, children can explore by them selves and have a good confident with independent. With that technique, they will enjoyed the day. We cannot stopped them on what they want to do because it will effect their performance. Then, the child will have experience before school and enjoy the life between the times.

Not only that, we can makes their life colourful without helping from us. So that they can feel the experience before we help. In that case, at young age, gives basic instrument such as when watching television, let them see the sesame street because that programme have a lot of education from beginner. Other than that, let them to make friend with other people or surrounding environment so they not left behind.

For children, they absolutely will be happy and their learning became enjoy and interesting because the time full of something new. Then it will works on every child because of not feel bored and tired. And for me, I think they will automatically can have a full of confident and independent by themselves.

  76. Education is a system of training and instruction that designed to give knowledge and developed skills. The education process must start from the beginning. This beginning is mean the process of education must be start in the young age. I agree with the statement that the young children should spent most of their time playing of education rather than they should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies.
Time playing is the best time for the young children to them to play as much as they can. even tough , many people think that the time play is such a nothing to them but the important thing with the play time is they will remember all the event that happen in that day. That is because the happening and enjoying event if we really feel it can be unforgettable experience that we have. This is happened is not also in the young children but a as adult people also we will remember the happening and the enjoying event that it is experience in our life.
The education that we need must be not burden to us, so same with to the young age, they also do not want to force them to sit on the table and study until several hours. It will make them become more stress and they will hate that time to study. The learning process that we need to teach them must be the teaching process that they can accept the knowledge. That is the learning process must be fun, enjoyable and can make them to love to study. Futhermore, if they study will the feeling of stress that will not receive the knowledge that is applied to them because it will make them hate to study anymore.
At the end, I think the learning process must be in the interesting ways that we can learn it by heart and it will make it easy to remember the knowledge. For the young age children , they must be teach in the learning process that they can like it such as with the book that is colourful colour and with also in the play time of education because it will make them fun and love to study for anytime . So that, they get all the information what have been tough and will learn it by heart.

  77. Some people think that children should begin their formal educator at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believed that young children should spend most of their time playing. These to of views, I agreed or disagreed for several aspect. This is because during this period children will be hyperactive and easy to learn the new skill, especially the games either indoor or outdoor.
Children started their school in kindergarten. They learnt alphabet, numbering, a picture, knowing an animal, feeling, words and others related with it. They also fastest to ketchup a new things and can act same from the original due to newborn had a brain that are fresh to input all the information and knowledge. Moreover their parents should show a suitable action and use a appropriate words in front of their children. This is too aware them from influencing to followed. So, always teach children with a good word with Asian culture.
In addition, a children also must be controlled and beware when they are playing in field. Before gave a permission, ensure that your children had already learnt a basic things before played a football. As we knew that a children will fast growing because of their body system in stage of growing. Just give a big support for them to improve their skill for further stage. Try to bring the children in a correct place where in there had a complete of bureau sport to handle our children and improved them to the highest level of competition.

However children will had a potential to had a balanced timing of education and sports. As their parents, they should not prevented them from active by putting them in house without doing anymore. They have their rights to experienced stage of children. If they are not get it, they will become stubborn and fighting for their needs. So , just be as their supportive and friends. Children will lone their parents if they really understand their needs and demands for.

  78. Question 18
Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with? Why?

Nowadays, parents send their children to school since early age. Many school also provided classes for the children in the early age such as 4 years old children. Children should begin their formal education at the young age and I agree with this statement.

There is evidence that preliminary education in preschool can help the children in their 4 or 5 prior to entering preschool. However, the variation among children in terms of skill level at this is depending in family background and the ability of the families.

Most of the children are not ready in the formalized of learning because it is still young. But they all are the quick learner. The children can easily absorb the entire subject that have being teach to them. Preschool provides an excellent setting for tackling all these tasks. All the activities that lend it are most effectively to facilitating them to play. The children also learn to express emotion and ideas through play.

Preschool is an excellent idea for the children to provide the opportunity to be around other children in play situations. In view of the children development, I like to say that play is the primary activity in preschool. Fantasy play is the most valuable player for the children. Either than fantasy play, outdoor game, arts and crafts also important for the children to develop their mental and also for critical thinking.

As the conclusion, I strongly agree children should begin their formal education at young age. It also affects in their future and starting from child the parent should brush up their children to increase their knowledge to be a brilliant person one day.

They have to spend most of their time playing in order to feel the happiness, the comfort and the enthusiasm of life. However, spending most of time playing prevents children from having any regrets about their childhood. Because they have spent all the necessary time to play, and they will be plenty ready to study. Also, children who begin studying at very early age, will dislike the moments of studying, because they think that studying prevent them from playing , which every child wants to do at this age.

In my opinion, children should begin their formal education at a very early age. They have to spend most of time on their school studies. According to some research and studies, children can learn a lot at an early age. They are construing their mind, so they have to boost their intelligence and their memory by studying.

  80. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with. Why?

I don’t agree upon the statement that children should begin their formal education at a very young age and should spend most of their time on school studies. I am more with those who believe that young children should spend most of their time playing rather than sitting in the class at their very young age and starting their formal education.

Children in four and five year olds in general are not ready for the formalized method of learning that requires sitting still for long periods of time in the class. I think the most effective activity to facilitate a child to learn is through play because it is a natural way to develop the children’s brain. They are more to playing in expressing their ideas and emotions. Children will learn more as they explore more things while they were playing.

Children would not be ready to attend school in a very young age such as the four or five year olds because they cannot cope with the pressure of school work or even the rules at school. They might be discouraged and develop a negative attitude toward school. Such negative emotions will not helping the children in their learning process. Besides, having too early formal education might just bring confusion to the children and not suitable for them. A stressful condition in their young age will effect their growth because children did not have the ability to manage their stress.

Fun and enjoying learning environment is all that the children need because children are born ‘ready to learn’. Adult’s role in helping the child learn was to provide appropriate materials for the child to interact and construct. Fun games that parents can play with their children will enhance their children creativity and imagination. Besides reading, math, and language, children’s social and emotional development are also important and sending children too early for a formal education might not be a good way in developing it because school doesn’t have that module for children.

To conclude, children should not begin their formal education at a very young age and should not spend most of their time on school studies. What children need is an emotional and intellectual grounding to be able to think deeply and creatively about new ways to relate to each other and the world around them, to have the confidence to act upon their thoughts.
