Should government spend more money on improving roads and highways or should government spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.

  1. In this new and busy millennium era, the most exhaustive moment is when we are trapped in traffic congestion. This unstoppable issue has been a norm especially in big cities where there are overwhelming of middle-class people who can afford to have a car. Government has stared this problem as a serious matter as it can consume people’s precious time just for free and make one’s life miserable. One of the solution comes in my opinion could be spending money in improving public transportation. Although there are few options that come across in order to overcome this problem, I personally believed that improving public transportation is worthful rather than doing the same endless project which is improving the roads and highways.
The first reason to support my idea is by looking up at the site of cost. Many people who are looking for a way to save money can look no further than where they sit every day. If you compare the cost of gas, parking and auto maintenance to the cost of a bus or train pass, you’ll find that a monthly commuting pass is far more economical. If you live in an urban area and use the bus or train as your primary transportation source, you save even more on car payments, insurance and repairs.
The second point to be viewed is regarding convenience. Most trains and buses run on a set schedule that you can set your commuting time around. No more roaming around looking for parking or sitting in traffic. Some say that buses and trains take longer than driving, but if you consider that driving is “lost time” that you can better spend reading or relaxing while leaving the driving to someone else, you come out way ahead time wise. With this, I am very sure that if government pay more attention to public transportations, it will give more convenience life to the society.
Environment also one of the reason that can be consider holistically. This is because when government opt to improve the public transportations rather than roads and highways, it will help unintentionally to save the environment. Imagine how many large vehicles and trucks you see inhabited by one or two people. Everyone who is taking his or her own vehicle is causing some individual pollution, and the earth does not need any extra of that. And many public transportations systems like trains or cable cars do not cause the same energy waste.
To sum up, it is undenialable fact that spending more money in improving public transport is far more beneficial compared to improving roads and highways in these days. Although it require a hard work to gain society cooperation and change the attitude which says “only geeks rode the bus”, a try should be taken place so that all of us can fell the positive difference.

  2. Some governments spend more money on improving roads and highways; others spend more money on improving public transportation. In this essay I’ll give some of the advantages of each approach, and I’ll argue in favor of improving roads and highways.

In a society where independence is valued many people prefer to use their own cars than public transportation. Automobiles provide more comfortable travelling. Also, they are in most cases – fastest than other types of transportation. I’ll restrict my view on one very important advantage of automobiles. They provide freedom to the drivers. For example if my work starts in 8.00 AM I have two possibilities. First, I may use my automobile. In this case I must leave for the work in 7.30 AM. On the other hand, if I use public transportation I must take a bus in 7.00 AM because I must wait some minutes at the bus station. After that, the buss will stop at every bus station. By reasons of this, buses are slower than automobiles. In the end, I must walk 5 minutes from bus station to my work position. If I use car, I’ll park it near my work position. In this case I’ll lose only one minute for walking.

The development of public transportation is the most essential thing for a developed society. Public transportation keeps society from the depletion of natural resources, the air pollution, and the loss of a sense of community. So, I think the government has to spend more money on improving it.

The use of public transportation is the best way to conserve natural resources gradually run out .Cars depend on oil and gasoline to move .If people use too many private cars , the oil and gasoline nonrenewable will run out quickly . instead of using many private cars, people can use public transportation, such as bus, train, subway, each one can get far more people and less oil and gasoline are used up per person.

The use of public transportation helps in reducing the air population. Cars use oil and gasoline and send out gas such as carbon dioxide, heat and so on .they cause pollution and make the Earth warmer. The more cars are driven, the more pollution will be put into air .If we use the public transportation, less cars will be used and less pollution will be emitted. The atmosphere, surrounding us, will be protected and help us more healthy.

The use of public transportation makes us live more sociable. When we drive a private car, we are alone or only our family members that we already know and lost the opportunity to make friends with others or to see that we are a part of this society. When using public transportation, we have a chance to meet more people and more chances to discovery new aspects of life.

In conclusion I think that whether government should spend more money on improving public transportation or on improving high ways depend on every different country. However I think that cars provide independence. Therefore I prefer to use cars. But in many cases they are not appropriate transportation.

  3. Road is important to all people for easy use their vehicle on the road, without road vehicle cannot move easily. Now so many transports already have such as bus, trains and subways, government encourage the people to use the public transportation for prevent road from jam, but now on the road already have this problem which many vehicle on the road, government should be take action for reduce this problem.
As we know, when we growth and have a work, we want to buy a car for our self to easy going to job and anywhere we want to go. In one year, many people buy a car for transportation, sometime they buy two cars for son, that’s make road will full with vehicle and make it jam. Government should be spend money to improving roads and highways for reduce the traffic jam, that’s more better than spend money on improving public transportation because total of car on road will increase every year although has improve the public transportation.
With improving road and highways, that’s can reduce traffic jam because have another road or alternative road for go anywhere. Before this, if you want go to one place, you must go through other road which should be near but it make we follow long road to reach at the place. Before have the highways, we only have one line direction at left and right, but now after improving the highways, already has three to four line in one direction at the left and right road, that’s ,make people easy go to one place at the short time and move with freely.
Improving the road is important to us because if have big hole in the road, it also can make people in dangers and can increase the number of mortality. The users will be move slowly to prevent from cross big hole, that can make movement on the road will be slow and jam. After improve the road, the users will be safe cross the road and can reduce the traffic jam.
As the conclusion is improving the highways and roads more better than improving the public transportation because people want self vehicles and many people like to use the car from public transportation because they not like to waiting.

  4. Some people say improving roads and highways is most important to solve the traffic problem, but most people did not have a car. Hence, in my opinion, I think improving public transportation is most benefic to most people.

First of all, a good public transportation can help people to save many time, they do not waste time on waiting the red light or to find a parking lot. For another thing, having too many cars on the road is the major factor to cause the traffic problem, because some of drivers do not follow the traffic rule. Pedestrians often face this dangerous road condition; they have meticulous cross the road. The car accident happened in every month. Many young men were died in the car accident. That was broken many family.

Secondly, a city has a convenient public transportation will attract many people from other city, because they can take the bus or subway to work instead of driving car. That is helping them to save money and time, and they can use the money and time to do other things. As a consequence, many companies will establish in the city for attract those talent employee, and that will help the city more prosperous. People can find a job easily.

Thirdly, the crowd traffic makes noise and air pollution. People are suffering from those problems in the city. Just like me, when I am studying, I cannot focus on my book, because my nose is runny and the distracting noise is influence me. A good public transportation will solve those problems; people can live in a good environment. For another thing, a complete transportation will attract many tourists, because tourists do not understand the street and road where they visit it first time. An accessible public transportation can guide the tourist to many places. That will promote the city's reputation.

In addition, well-developed and convenient net of public transport will drastically increase the safety of the city's roads. Obviously, people who have their own cars are more likely to have accidents. Those drivers, during the rush hours, especially in the evening, when being in a hurry to get home after the working day, do not pay much attention to their driving. On the other hand, the professional drivers who drive public transport are trained to avoid collisions in the road. Thus, government should improve public transport for people’s safety.

Above that, I strongly agree that the government should spend money on improving public transportation.

  5. Should governments spend more money on improving roads and highways, or should governments spend more money on improving public transportation.

All means of transportation should be kept in good conditions. However, I believe it would be most beneficial for a country or city, if its government spent more money on improving public transportation. This would result in substantial standard of living improvements.
The volume of cars and trucks hitting the highways is dramatically rising every year. As a result, the number of traffic jams, accidents and carbon monoxide emissions are doing too. All these factors have a detrimental effect on our quality of life. Expanding subway lines and railroads and developing an effective plan to combine buses and subways routes, would eventually lead to a reduction in pollution levels, less traffic jams and less stress for the people.
If subway lines reached every corner of a city, people would not need to use their cars to commute. Less cars on the road, means less carbon monoxide emissions into the atmosphere; therefore, the air we breathe would be more pure. Less cars also means less traffic jams, which translates into less stress for drivers and better living conditions. Not every country has a well-developed railroad system.
Consequently, they have to rely on trucks and buses for ground transportation of passengers and freight. Expanding and upgrading railroad systems will result in fewer trucks and buses on the highways. Removing this kind of traffic from the highways and encouraging the use of trains, would be another way to reduce congestion on the freeways. The reduction of traffic represents less maintenance costs for the government. This surplus of money could be used for other purposes.
Highways, roads and public transportation all require maintenance funds, but I think it is more important to think about the future and how to make our countries or cities better places to live in. Improving public transportation will help reduce traffic jams, accidents and air pollution. A safer, healthier and more enjoyable place to live waits for us in the future.

  6. Should governments spend more money on improving roads and highways, or should governments spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.

Should governments spend more money on improving roads and highways, or should they spend money on improving public transportation? Well may be some people would suggest that governments should improve roads and highways but I think governments should improve public transportation.

First of all we should think about what is the purpose of transport? It is to save time, money and comfort. By improving public transportation what governments will get is a big amount of money, which they would have, spends on making highways and roads. This amount could be used on improving public transportation buying new buses, improving local train system and also they can use this money on environment welfare too.
By appreciating and advising people to travel by public transport governments will save fuel too. It is also good for environment. Like in Norway people use bicycles to travel a lot in this way they not only save money and fuel but they also get a better health. Above all by travelling in public transport people will save time, money and will win peace of mind too. Beside if governments work on roads and highways it will be costly, not environment friendly and will also create problems in near future. Like people will buy more and more automobiles and more and more fuel will be used and if this becomes a national attitude it will cost too much in future.
Furthermore, the crowd traffic makes noise and air pollution. People are suffering from those problems in the city. Just like me, when I am studying, I cannot focus on my book, because my nose is runny and the distracting noise is influence me. A good public transportation will solve those problems; people can live in a good environment. An accessible public transportation can guide the tourist to many places. That will promote the city's reputation.

Above that, I strongly agree that the government should spend money on improving public transportation. So governments should work on improving public transportation. This will be in greater interest of people and will create fewer problems in future.

  7. Many governments ponders this days on whether to improve roads and highways or spending huge sum of money on improving public transportation like buses, trains and subways. I believe that buses, trains and subways can only function well when roads and subways are improved. In the following paragraghs, I will explain why governments should spend money on roads and highways first rather than on public transportation.

Firstly, in the absences of roads and highways, one will not talk of public transportation. Buses, trains and subways transportation have been made available because there are roads and highways. In my country, there nature of roads and highways are very poor and the outcome of the state of this roads are the numerous accidents that occured everyday. So, if the government improve the the state of these roads and highways first, it will be creating a health environment for public transportation.

Secondly, the growth of a country greatly depends on its roads and highways systems. For example, in an under developed country like Cameroon, almost all Companies need raw materials with which are mostly found in the royal areas. Though they have have good vehicles to transport these products, it is not easy because of the nature of the roads and highways linking the urban areas and the cities. Like wise, if more money was spent on highways and roads, fewer vehicles could be used to transport huge amount of the raw materials to the urban areas.

Further more, some countries are now having specific type of cars to buy because of the the poor state of roads and highways. A very good example is my country where one has to buy but a "4x4" vehicle if he or she intends to travel to most locations of the country. This vehicle is very expensive and does not make things easy for citizens of a country. By this, improving on the state of roads and highways will permit citizens not to bother chosing a type of public transportation to use.

From the above explanation, if goverments improve their roads and highways first, it will make life worth living for people in royal areas, Companies and above all boost the economy of governments. So, governments should think of improving on their roads and highways first and public transportation later.

  8. The money that should government spends for.

All the things around us are important for us as a citizen in this country. All the things that had been prepared by the government are the public uses for all of us as the citizen in the country. We should take care all of the things so that the public can use it when they need it without any difficultly. As an example the public phone that had put at the side of the road, it should be easy for all of us to use it when there is emergency that need us to use it. But when we does not take care the things properly and broke it than take care of it, it will make we in trouble when there is the emergency happen on us.
In this time, government should spend the money on improving roads and highways so that the entire citizen can use the road in safe and comfort. It is important because if the roads not in good condition us as the user will probably in dangerous because there are many things can happen when the roads condition not in proper condition. Much accidence had happen and when they found out the causes are from the bad condition of the roads.
For me government should focus on the roads first than the public transport because if the roads in bad condition the entire citizen will not in safe environment and they are open to get the accidence any time. If the roads in bad condition all the vehicles also can easily broke down because it disturb the vehicles system especially the below part of the vehicles.
Roads are important for entire citizen because from the roads we can go anywhere we want to go. It is main asset for our country because it will shows to all the others country how we take care of our country and our public property. It will portrait our country safety to the others country.

  9. It will be much appreciated if the governments spend money on improving public transportation. In my opinion, public transport is the more economical choice, can provide shorter transport time and can attract tourists to the city.

Firstly, public transport is a mass transit system which serves a lot of people. Investment on improving public transport can reduce travel cost of those people. Additionally, good public transportation system can appeal a lot of customers and the government will receive more income which can be invested on further improvements in other areas. Compared with other option, improvements on roads can only help the people who have their own car and it may lead more people to buy car instead of using public transport.

Secondly, some modes of public transport such as trains or subways will provide shorter traveling time when compared with cars. In my country, traffic jam is a huge problem when we use a car. A lot of time was wasted sticking in traffic congestion instead of doing other things like exercise or rest. Plus, efficient public transport may lead people to change their mode of transport from car to public mode and it will relieve the traffic jam problem as well.

Thirdly, good public transport can attract tourists to come to the city. Most of tourists prefer to travel by public transport because it is comfortable and inexpensive. If the city has an efficient transportation system which can help them access to any attractive places easily, there will be a number of tourists and it will lead more benefits to the city.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that improving on public transport is the better investment. It will reduce cost of transport for many people, provide short transport time and attract tourists to the city. Therefore, I fully support the government to improve on public transport instead of roads.

  10. Should government spend more money on improving roads and highways or should government spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.

It benefits those who choose to ride, as well as those who have no other choice. Public transit provides a basic mobility service to these persons and to all others without access to a car. Public transportation also helps to reduce road congestion and travel times, air pollution, and energy and oil consumption, all of which benefit both riders and non-riders alike. This is why I think the government should spend more money on public transportation than roads.
For progress of any country, transportation system plays a very important role. Efficient transportation system attracts more investment in an area. Raw material can be transported from any part of the world. Labour can come from any part of country. Good transportation system is not only good for public. It is cheap, comfortable and frequent services. For industry, it provides to get raw material and labour but also for government. Improving transportation, people will use more public transportation helps in saving money and resources. Instead of using their own car, people will prefer to go by buses which consumes less diesel or petrol and it will lead less traffic on roads.
Nowadays, pollution is one of the most important topics around the world. It has been known that high levels of pollutions observed in some cities have been resulted on important damages of people’s health. Smoke can cause damage on our respiratory systems and also can hurts our eyes and dry our skin. One of the main contributions to the contamination of the air is the increasing use of cars. One way to reduce the smoke emission is using public transportation frequently however our government needs to invert money to improve public services. Public transportation must be accessible to every single person whether old, students and handicap people they need to be equipped with places to bring different stuff like bikes or wheel chars. Also our government needs to speed money to hire enough personal which could make of this service a safety, and punctual media of transportation.

I think that we need to keep our road, and I am agree with spend some money for that, because we can need of our car sometimes; however, I think that our government should spend more money to improve our public transportation in order to encourage all people to leave their cars at home and use a cheaper, safety and quickly media of transportation. When we use a single vehicle to travel from one place to another every day, for example from our home to our work, then, we leave many cars parked at our home and they will no longer contribute with smoke or noise pollution. So we will be helping to keep healthy our environment.

    Assignment
Assignment : Spend more money on improving
    roads and highways.

A road is an identifiable thoroughfare, route, way or path between two places which may or may not be available for use by the public, for instance public roads, especially major roads connecting significant destinations are termed highways. Modern roads are normally smoothed, paved, or otherwise prepared to allow easy travel although historically many roads were simply recognizable routes without any formal construction or maintenance. In urban areas roads may diverge through a city or village and be named as streets, serving a dual function as urban space easement and route. Economics and society depend heavily on efficient roads.

A highway is a public road, especially a major road connecting two or more destinations. Any interconnected set of highways can be variously referred to as a "highway system", a "highway network", or a "highway transportation system". Each country has its own national highway system. Major highways are often named and numbered by the governments that typically develop and maintain them.

Traditionally highways were used by people on foot or on horses. Later they also accommodated carriages, bicycles and eventually motor cars, facilitated by advancements in road construction. Major modern highways that connect cities in populous developed and developing countries usually incorporate features intended to enhance the road's capacity, efficiency, and safety to various degrees. Such features include a reduction in the number of locations for user access, the use of dual carriageways with two or more lanes on each carriageway, and grade-separated junctions with other roads and modes of transport.

Road construction requires the creation of a continuous right-of-way, overcoming geographic obstacles and having grades low enough to permit vehicle or foot travel and may be required to meet standards set by law or official guidelines. Roadways are designed and built for primary use by vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Like all structures, roads deteriorate over time. Deterioration is primarily due to accumulated damage from vehicles. However, environmental effects such as frost heaves, thermal cracking and oxidation often contribute. Virtually all roads require some form of maintenance before they come to the end of their service life. Pro-active agencies continually monitor road conditions and apply preventive maintenance treatments as needed to prolong the lifespan of their roads.

Careful design and construction of roads can reduce the harm, such as deaths, injuries, and property damage on the highway system from traffic collisions. On neighborhood roads traffic calming, safety barriers, pedestrian crossings and cycle lanes can all protect pedestrians and cyclists.

From the above explanation, if governments improve their roads and highways first, it will make life worth living for people in royal areas, companies and above all boost the economy of governments. So, governments should think of improving on their roads and highways first and public transportation later.

  13. Governments should spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways).

Government often have to choose to spend more money on improving roads and highways, or on improving public transportations such as buses, trains, subways. Both that statement is very important to spend money. In my opinion, the important government should choose to spend money is improving public transportation such as buses, trains and subway. The three most common reasons are to decrease air pollution, to increase employment and to benefit the citizens especially the elder and the poor. This is because the elder cannot drive their own transport and the poor people cannot afford to buy their own transport.
In the world of today, there are too many vehicles rolling up the streets. It is effects to environment such as air pollution and also traffic jams are very regular occur until today. The people high risk to getting a health problems such as asthma, lung and heart disease. So, I think that government must to increase the number of transport to improve this problem. For the examples, buses or trains such as commuters. They are preventing and helping to no increase the actual higher rates of pollution. This is a very important reason to invest in this kind of transportation means. It also helps the passengers from a poor people and also elder person.
On the other hand, the advantages the government to improving public transportation is increase the employment. Many jobs opportunities created by improving public transportation such as driver bus, bus conductors, or security guard. Furthermore, commuter trains enable people living in distant areas to commute to work downtown otherwise they cannot work in city areas. Whereas, they are not have job have a bright future to get a new job.
Improved transportations facilities will also solve traffic problems to certain extent. If more people will use buses and trains, traffic will be reduced and if traffic is reduced and then also accident rates will reduce greatly. Also when people use public transportation, the sense of community in them will increase. If we uses the public transportation, we also meet a variety of people.
In a conclusion, environmental problems and increased unemployment are some of the most serious problems of modern society. Improving public transportation is one way governments can use against these problems and create a convenient environment for all citizens.

  14. Question 7
Some governments spend more money on improving roads and highways. Others spend more money on improving public transportations. But if only one can be done, then I believe governments should give greater importance to improve public transportation facilities like buses, trains and subways.
In a society where independence is valued many people prefer to use their own cars then public transportation. Automobiles provide more comfortable travelling. Also, they are in most cases fastest than other types of transportation. There are various reasons to believe so, like the greatest of all is public convenience, controls pollution and solves traffic problems.
Public will be most befitted if transportation facilities are improved. Today, in this costly world, all people cannot afford to have a private vehicle. If facilities are improved, then people will have more convenience. Obviously they have to pay fares of buses and trains but it is comparatively much cheaper to private vehicles.
Many times, people don’t prefer to use public transportations because of their different time schedules. If more buses and trains are started then people can adjust their complicated schedules even with public transportations. And if more people start using public transportations then government income will also increase thus will be able to use money to improve the other facilities or another important job.
Today due to heavy traffic, air pollution has increase greatly. If people will more use buses and trains then all carbon dioxide coming out. Improve transportations facilities will also solve traffic problems to certain extent. It more people will use buses and trains, traffic will be reduce and if traffic is reduce and then also accident rates will reduce greatly. When people use public transportations, the sense of community in them will increase. Slowly and gradually, people will become friends and peaceful atmosphere will be created.
All things considered, I think improving public transportation facilities will not only increase public convenience and control pollution but it will also make world a better place to live. Whether the governments should spend more money on improving public transportation or on improving highways depends on every different country.

  15. Question 7: should government spend more money on improving roads and highways or should government spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, and subways)? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.
At a moment, many project that government want to improve it. There have a plan to develop our country to make it same level with other countries. One of the plans is to improve the roads and highways. Another plan is improve public transportation such as buses, trains and subways. For me the first thing that government should spend money is improve the public transportation. Nowadays we always have a problem with the transportation and also traffic jam. Public transportation must improve to solve our problem.
There are many benefits if government spend on improving public transportation. For example, as we know that we always a traffic jam usually when we want go to work or go back to home. If we improve the public transportation, we can attract people like to use public transport so automatically it can reduce the number of transports. It also can avoid traffic jam happen. We can make many buses, trains and other and make sure that the transport is comfort. So people willing to choose the public transport than their transport.
Beside that we also can help people to safe their many. It is because if they use a public transportation, they were not having problems with the oil car and toll. It is can safe their many and they can use the money for other thing. Although our country have a problem with economic so if they can use public transport that can help them in their economic. It is because public transport is cheaper than own transport. So no wonder they will prefer public transport as their transport to go anyway. The important is public transport must upgrade and make them comfort.
We also can reduce the number of accident in the roads and highway. It is because when they prefer to use public transport they we not drive and the number of transport also reduce. So it can avoid from accident happen. Automatically we can solve one more our problem which is the accident. When traffic jam was reducing, we can avoid accident happen.
As sum up, government should spend their money to improve the public transportation first than improve the roads and highways. All people in our country will happy because we can solve their problem.

  16. The road and transport both are important in our daily living. The road and transport are important in connection between the two places and to reach to our destination. Should government spend more money between improving the road or public transport, in my opinion I would like to choose the improvement of roads are more important and priority to the society. The roads are important facilities to improve for the public
First of all, the road are the commonly cause the accidents. The poor conditions of the road bring a lot of problem to the road user. The poor condition of road are the second reasons of accident happened in our country after the carelessness of the driver. The road user will lose control after facing the poor condition of road for example the driver are try to avoid the big hole on the road at the same time the wet road lead the vehicle slippery and lose control. So that, I hope the government will spend more money in reconstruction of the road.
Secondly, the other reasons why government should spend more money in improvement of road than public transport is to prevent the traffic jam. The traffic jam occur especially during the peak hour and public holiday are the other reasons of the accident happened and make the driver spend more long time on the road. The government can spend more money in wider the road size, addition of the highway and fly over. The improvement of the road will bring more benefit to the public, in order to help them to save time and the most important is to save their life.
Thirdly, the government should spend more money in improvement and reconstruction of the road is to provide the comfort and safety to the road user. The government may provide the special line road to the motor vehicle user and for the emergency time road user. These kind of improvement will bring a lot of advantages to the road user.
Conclusion, I encourage the government to spend more money in improvement of road than public transport, seems nowadays people are afford to having their own transport rather than use the public transport.

  17. Should government spend more money on improving roads and highways or should government spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.
In this century, population all over the world has increased every day. This also affects the transportation needs for individuals to go to varies destination. In order to meet this need, I think that government should spend more money in improving roads and highways rather than on public transportation (buses, trains, and subways).
The main reason why I choose the government to spend more money in improving roads and highways is simply because there are more people using their own vehicles compare to public transportation nowadays. People are buying new cars every day and this requires more spaces on the roads and highways. By improving the roads and highways, there will be less traffic problem and road users can easily move to their destinations.
In contrast, public transportation creates more danger for the users. When many people are using public transportation, the public area such as bus station or subway will be crowded and become the contributing factor for theft to happen. There are a higher risk of theft for public transportation users compare to those whose using own transportation.
Many advantages can be obtained if government spends more money on improving roads and highways. As we know, tourists that coming to our country Malaysia had increased over the years and it will be convenient for them to travel throughout our country with good system of roads and highway. Moreover, they will bring back a good feedback to their country which will improve our tourism sector indirectly.
With improved roads and highways, emergency help can be promptly given to casualty. The ambulance, firefighter, and police wouldn’t have trouble such as jammed in road traffic and they can reach the scene early and easily. This will bring much benefit to the community and no one will blame the government for not providing a sufficient infrastructure.
Lastly, the reason why government should spend more money to improve the roads and highways is because it will also improve our country automobile industry. Good roads and highways will encourage people to buy car and many would prefer the local product such as Proton and Perodua because its reasonable prices.
To conclude, government should spend more money to improve the roads and highways rather than on public transportation because it will bring greater advantages to the population throughout our country.

  18. Every year, government will spend a lot of money on improving the road services and public transport. But these effort still not enough for the demand of our populations. By the government slowly pass over the road and highway services to the private sector. I think it’s better spend more money on improving public transportation such as buses, trains and subways. There is a number of reasons why I choose this as my point.
First of all, it can reduce the air pollution. In the big cities, people are more prone to one people car. So, the carbon dioxide excrete out by the private car most probably will increase. This can be overcome by increase of public transportation, we are indirectly encouraging people to use or share the transportation wherever they go. In addition, the air pollution is a primary problem that cause person fall into sick. Most are related to respiratory disease such as sinusitis, asthma and lung infections. When private car is less, the carbon dioxide will decrease hence the quality of health was improve and the air pollution also is decrease slowly.
Secondly, improvement of public transportation was increase the employment. After the economic crisis, there are a lot of people until now do not have a proper job. To operate the public transportation or start the new system, it may need the bus driver, subway conductor or security. With the requirement of staff, it has been create the job opportunities to the public who need the job instead to help the low stage people improve their quality of life and economic status.
Last, the action of government may also benefit our senior citizen and poor by free of charge for them. It also will let them to feel more comfortable an ease compared to the other transportation like taxi. Thus, it also can prevent from the traffic jam by using the public transportation and can arrive to the destiny on time.
In conclusion, the government has overcome the environmental problem, improve the economic status of those poor families and also not forget the priority of the senior citizen. I hope that our country will more advance for not only focus on the education or other field but also the reality of the issue social.

  19. Question 7
Should government spent more money on improving roads and highway or should government spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subway)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop you essay.

I think they should focus on reforming the public transportation since the road system in Vietnam is quite good. In Vietnam, the most occupied transportation is motorbike. People have not been familiar with using public transportation because the public transportation system is not good enough to use, also it is not convenient for every body to use it while in other countries, public transportation has proven itself very helpful in reducing traffic jam and accident. There are environmental costs associated with automobile use emission of greenhouse gases, air pollution, noise pollution.
In other country, the public transportation is not in a very good condition for example in Vietnam. People using this kind of transportation usually have to worry about the quality of the car or the carefulness of the driver. The government should spend more money buying new transportation to replace the old ones so that people will feel safe when they use them.
Besides that, the public transportation is not convenient for people to use it. The city bus is the public transportation that is most used in certain part, but it just runs in some main streets of the city, not all the streets. Therefore, somebody has to go very far to get to a bus stop to catch it if they want to use it. So if the government spend more money to buy more bus and extend the area that the bus can serve, there will be more people happy to use it.
Vietnam is considered one of the countries that has the most dangerous traffic in the world. The crucial reason is that we use so many motorbike that they no practice their on safety. Public transportation will be a potential solution for this problem. That is why I think the government should spend as much money as they can to improve it , and also execute that plan as soon as possible, For prevent from others that can be a dangerous.

As a conclusion, the government should have spent more money to improve their facilities on transportation, so that it can reduce from traffic jam, safety on the rider .And government need to change the old buses to longer use it because the bad quality and the in and the air-condition of the bus usually break down to new buses. If these problem are solved, I believe that the less motorbike we use, the less traffic jam and accident will happen.

  20. In this modern world, government should spend more money on public transportation than improving the road as it a convenient way of living. Many people who are looking for a way to save money can look no further than where they sit every day. People can save money by using public transportation as they do not have to spend money on car fuel, because when everyone is using a vehicle, automatically the road will loaded with cars and cause jam. This will waste of fuel and time when a person is rushing for work or after finish work.

There are many benefits of government improving public transportations. By having public transportation, we are able to save the environment and live in a clean environment. If, every individual are using their own vehicles this will cause major air pollution from the gases release from the vehicles. This will cause the ozone layer become thinner. By having many public transportations systems like trains or cable cars less energy waste being produce. We can’t live in a polluted air which will harm our health and the chance of getting respiratory disease.

However, improving public transportation is important as for safety purposes. This will help to decrease the number of accident cases in our country. Then, we are not well and too tired to drive, we intent to fall asleep during driving especially in a jam road which maybe caused by accidents. Improving the public transportations will prevent less carelessness of each individual. We can relax in the public transportation and it is very fast to reach to our destinations.

Moreover, public transportation is really cheap in the sense of cost. Everyone can use and enjoy the convenient of going anywhere even though it is a far distance with a cheap cost.
One objection to riding public transport may be that a person has children to transport with. Many find it easier to look after a bunch of kids while seated on a train or bus than constantly trying to keep an eye on what’s going on in the back seat while trying to drive a vehicle.

To sum it up, the need of improving public transportation is important than having the road fixing. What is the purpose of having a good road while we can’t really use it? The main need of public needs is having a public transportation which they can use in moving toward their destinations.

A road is an identifiable thoroughfare, route, way or path between two places which may or may not be available for use by the public; public roads, especially major roads connecting significant destinations are termed highways. In my opinions, the government should spend more money on improving roads and highways because nowadays many people like to buy the cars than transport example, buses, train, subways. It is because many people effort to buy on cars and will easy the person to goes whatever their want and what ever times.
Nowadays, many cars had been inventory and the prices also not to expensive so that everyone can buy the cars. Otherwise, many people effort to buy the car. Transportations schedule also not 24 hours per days. So for the person who works until night, they’re not had an opportunity to goes to their destination. If the government spends the money to improve the roads and highway, it will make more easily and clearly. If the government spends their money to the transportation, it not solves the problem and maybe they will have difficulty to goes to the destination that they want.
The government also needs to improve the road and highways because from year to year much tourism came to visit our country. Usually the tourism likes to use the car so that it’s easy they go to everywhere they want. If the government improved the structure of the road, the tourism will talk to others about the structure of the road of Malaysian so that they will came again. If the tourism came to our country, it will increase the economy of our country.
Lastly, the government needs to improve they road and highways because it will also improve our country automobile industry. Good roads and highways will encourage people to buy car and many would prefer the local product such as Proton and Perodua because its reasonable prices.
As the conclusions, the government should improved the road and highways system because if they no good system, we also will experiences of jam. So the government should seen that and investigated very seriously because that need high cost and need the good contractor to finish that.

  22. Government spend more money public transportations
However, after carefully pondering it, I buttress the last one, spending the money on improving
public transportation. The reasons are presented below:
There is no denying that improving the public transportation will surely alleviate the pollution
given off by enormous cars. If a city has not a developed public transportation, the air will be
polluted more heavily. What a dirty environment we will live in! Every day breathing into the air
filled with the flour of the gasoline, seeing the sky with the dull color will be the title of our life.
So the essence of environment has been realized by an increasingly number of people, to the
governments, the protection of environment is especially an undeniable mission.
Another reason I agree with it is that developed public transportation will decrease the frequency
of the traffic jams. Perhaps no worse word than “traffic jams” exists, to the businessmen who
believe in “Time is money”. Traffic jams not only cost the people time and expense, but also
create a bad mood for work. It greatly decreases the efficiency of the whole city. I imagine how
can a city whose avenue full of traffic jams develop its economics?
Finally, I want to say that improving the public transportation provide a great number of ways of
transportation for most of the poor people who can not afford to buy a car. It is known that our
citizens is not made of only people who has the ability to own a car, but the very poor people are
also included. I believe that however the technology is improved, the public apparatus should not
be ignored, because it serves the people all over the city.
Nevertheless, the private transportation has its own advantages, for instance, it can save a lot of
time in some cases, provide some convenience for people. But improving on roads and highways
is advantageous only conditionally. Based on the above discussion, I agree with the opinion that
the government should spend money on improving public transportation not only it can protect
environment and save time for people, but it also can create a convenient environment for all the
    citizens.

  23. In my opinion, government should spend more money on improving public transportations rather than spend money on improving roads and highways because public transportation provides more convenience and comfort for the citizens. Improving roads and highways may only induced the citizen prefer to use their own vehicle and avoid to sharing.
Not to say that roads and highways is not important, but there are some reason of why I choose to improve in public transportations. If government spend more money on improving roads and highways, there are few problems will come out such as insufficient numbers of parking lot for private vehicles user. For example at the shopping complex, we will facing the problems to find a parking before we go for shopping. Traffic also will become more crowded which may contribute to traffic jammed and stuck. These conditions will results to time unpunctuality when the user stuck in the traffic jammed. This problem also may increase if the public transportation does not been improved by government.
Besides, public transportation may reduce these problems and help people to access their destination easier. People do not have to think about parking or traffic jam anymore because there are about 40 to 50 people using a bus instead of only one people in one private vehicle such as a car, so that the number of cars using the roads and highways are increase. Users only have to spend their money for the fares of the taxi, bus or train instead of thinking to spend money for petrol fuel, toll tickets and parking tickets which they have to settle down if they are using private vehicle.
Public transportations such as Light Railway Transit (LRT) also help a lot in town people living. They can move freely to their destination using this transportations and it is faster to reach. Road traffic accident rate also may be decreased if the public transportation being the chosen one to be used because the lesser number of vehicles helps the traffics run smoothly and safely. Apart of that, public transportation is much important for people who are unable to drive such as handicapped people or people who are not able to have their own car. These people will fully depend on public transportation as their main transport.
As the conclusion, public transportations improvement is more important compared to improvement in roads and highways. There are no points to spend extra money to improve the roads and highway if it is not much help the citizens.

  25. QUESTION 7
In era modernisation, roads and highways should be improved in many aspects for safety and importance among us. Actually our government should spends more money on improving roads and highways especially nowadays many transport such as motorcycle , car ,lorry and other transport are crowded on the roads when becoming a festival in Malaysia. No wonder, our governments should overhaul the certain roads damaged.
The reason that I believe that our government should spend more money on improving roads is to prevent the traffic jam .For example, when becoming a festival such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Chinese New Year, Happy Deepavali we can see the roads and highways are crowded with many transport. It is because many people want to go back to their village to celebrate with other family, friends and relative. In that situation, our government should have their ways to prevent the traffic jam on the roads.
Furthermore, our governments especially Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) should broadness the road and highways. For example, in Kuala Lumpur, the road and highways are improved with three lines roads and it can be easy to each people especially when they want to go their works punctually without any problems during on the ways the works such as traffic jam.
On the other hands, our governments should improve the level of roads and highways with overhaul and repair the road damaged. For example, in certain area, there are a hole damaged and chap with something else. We need to paste the hole to prevent any incident or injury when the other transportation is elapse from this area.
Moreover, the texture of the roads and highways must stable with the big transport such as lorry, bus and other else. For example, if the texture of the tar on the roads and highways are not good it will damaged the tar if other big transport is elapse in that area.Consequently,it will make any injury when certain transport especially motorcycle are elapse in this roads.
As a conclusion, our government exactly spend more money on improving roads and highways to importance among us. Beside that, traffic jam will reduce and no other problem else and it make people drive safety without any complication when they all driving especially at busy time. In that situation, our governments should have their ways to improve the roads and highways for the future.

  26. Nowadays we can see a lot of money is spending by the government to the wrong way.
In my opinion government should spend more money to improving public transportation is most benefit to people.
Public transportation can help people to save many time, they do not waste time on waiting the red light or to find a parking lot.
Transportation will attract many people from other city, because they can take the bus or subway to work instead of driving car. That is helping them to save money and time, and they can use the money and time to do other things.
A good public transportation will solve those problems; people can live in a good environment. For another thing, a complete transportation will attract many tourists, because tourists do not understand the street and road where they visit it first time. An accessible public transportation can guide the tourist to many places. That will promote the city's reputation.
Efficient transportation system attracts more investment in an area. Raw material can be transported from any part of the world. Labor can come from any part of country. Good transportation system is not only good for public. It is cheap, comfortable and frequent services. For industry, it provides to get raw material and labor but also for government. Improving transportation, people will use more public transportation helps in saving money and resources. Instead of using their own car, people will prefer to go by a bus which consumes less diesel or petrol and it will lead less traffic on roads.
In conclusion I think that whether government should spend more money on improving public transportation or on improving highways depend on every different country. However I think that cars provide independence. Therefore I prefer to use cars. But in many cases they are not appropriate transportation.

  27. QUESTION 7
The issue at hand is whether government should spend more money on improving roads and highways rather than improving public transport. In my view government should spend money on improving roads and highways. This is because it is only through better roads we will be having better transportation and also roads indicate culture of nation.

One reason i think emphasis should be kept on road improvement is that most of times mobility of vehicles gets zeroed down if roads are in bad condition. Especially rainy seasons aggravate the running conditions of road. If mobility of vehicles is affected other areas like business also gets affected. Because consider a vehicle carrying goods which are to be sold in other area. If u can’t reach the place in time we will be loosing the market share. So for any country building good roads should be prime points on to be done list.

Second reason i think government should consider improving roads and highways is connectivity. Connectivity is one of factors that business people seek before setting up any company. So if your town/city is better connected you will be getting more chances of company being setup there which in turn benifit’s the people in form of job creation.

Finally I think setting up good roads and highways is important because with out roads there is no point in improving transportation. For example there is no point in travelling in good vehicle on bad road or highway. Further it will lessen the performance of vehicle. We will feel comfortable even in normal vehicle if the road is good. Improving road conditions should be first step. And then we can consider improving transportation facilities.

  28. Question 7
Road and Highways are the lifeline of metro cities. They is a means of interconnecting different ends of country and cities. On the other hand, public transport is a medium through which this connection is possible. So according to me the government should spend more money on public transportation as it is would be beneficial for both the country and citizens of the country.

First of all, spending money on public transport would improve the facilities of transportation in a region which would result in an increase in the number of passengers. As a result there would be less traffic problems arising due to rapid increase in privately owned vehicles. Moreover, public transport like railways is a economical and less time consuming means of transportation.
There are no such problems of traffic jams in railways.
Secondly, improvement in public transport would attract more passengers and hence would result in increase in national wealth. This increased national wealth could be used for several purposes for example it could be used in development, welfare of communities .It could also be used for development of roads and highways. Also, public transport is an easily available source of transportation for each class of a society.
In other hand, Public transportation hasn’t been sufficiently developed. Because of this, suburban areas surrounding cities have been allowed to sprawl more and more widely. This means that people can’t even go to the store without having to hop into the car. Everything is too far away from where they live. If there were better and more frequent public transportation, people would be able to give up their cars for local driving.
Finally, when we are depriving of the fossil fuels there would be a time when we would have very scarce resources of fossil fuels left in our planet. So, we should save as much fossil fuel as we can and this can be done if people are encouraged to opt for public transport rather than their own private vehicles. Fewer vehicles on road would result in less pollution and hence would also be saved from the evils of global warming.
To sum up, I can say that government should spend more money on public transport. This would result in increasing the wealth of the country. At the same time it would save us from the evils of traffic jams and global warming.

  29. Should governments spend more money on improving roads and highways, or should governments spend more money on improving public transportation.

In this era of modernization, public transportation becomes a vital service in many countries. Public transportation gives big impact to us as a community. It becomes significant and brings more advantages to the county itself. Each county needs to spend more money on improving public transportation rather than spend money on improving roads and highways. Not saying that it is not important to improve roads and highways but public transportation is more considerable. Public transportation likes buses, trains and subways are convenience for society who works in the town or busy area. It can save their time and there will be no more reasons to come late for work.

There are some reasons why improving on public transportation is more vital than improving roads and highways such as when more citizens in the country use the public transport indirectly we can save our environment. Nowadays, many people use their own transport to go to work, school or shopping. This may increase the production of carbon monoxide which is harmful to human being. As we know, carbon monoxide can trigger the nature balance. Too much cars and motorcycles in the road would affect the environment and we are having higher risk to involve in road traffic accident.

Despite on that, it is actually difficult to improve the roads and highways in the rural areas because of the complex geography situations and not very well economic situations. It may cost huge cost for government to invest more money for that reason. It is more valuable when government gives more investment to provide them a trains or boats as a public transport to move. At the same time, it is also make the economics of undeveloped area growing rapidly.

Besides, safety is another aspect that should be considered why government needs to improve to public transportations. These days, some statistics has been shown that mortality rate had highly increased in the roads and highways. It is because there are too many cars and personal transportation in the road. Peoples are more likely to drive their own transport to go somewhere. It may cause the congestion on the road and it is risky to all the roads and highways users especially the pedestrians.

To conclude, it is important to improve the public transportations in this country. Public transportation is a necessary to the society. Spending more on improving public transportation will encourage people to shift to this service. They will realise the advantages of using public transportations and at the same time it will beneficial to the environment too. It is more valuable if government invest more money to improving public transportations that will precious to save our environment, maintain our safety and the most important to reduce our stress on traffic congestions.

  30. Nowadays, pollution is one of the most important topics around the world. . In my opinion, governments should certainly spend money on the public transportation system to solve these problems. For example, when we use a single vehicle to travel from one place to another every day, for example from our home to our work then, we leave many cars parked at our home and they will no longer contribute with smoke or noise pollution. So we will be helping to keep healthy our environment. This is the best way to preserve natural resources and reduce pollution.
However, the using of public transportation reduces the amount of resources using on transportation. Cars depend on gasoline, which is a non-renewable resource. Therefore, the more cars we use means that the faster gasoline in this world is used up. In the contrary, if the public transportation is efficiently used, the amount of gasoline consuming per person will be much lower. And this definitely helps to reserve our invaluable natural resource, gasoline.

At the same time, public transportation also has many benefits for citizens especially the elder and the poor. People who cannot afford to drive such as the elderly or the poor can use subway or bus to go around. People who are physically unable to receive the driver license can reap the benefits of sufficient public transportation.
The other hand, improvement in public transport would attract more passengers and hence would result in increase in national wealth. This increased national wealth could be used for several purposes for example it could be used in development, welfare of communities. It could also be used for development of roads and highways. Also, public transport is an easily available source of transportation for each class of a society.
In nutshell, I can say for certain that spending money on improving public transportation is necessary because it is the key to protect our world, creating a healthy and safe environment for people to live in. So I agree that government should spend more money on improving public transport such as buses, trains and subways compare to spend more money on improving roads and highways that can destroy our world in term to maintain our neutrality.

  31. Government Should Spend Money On Improving Public Transportation

Nowadays, some people say improving roads and highways is most important to solve the traffic problem, but most people did not have a car. Hence, in my opinion, I think improving public transportation than spend more money on improving roads and highways is most benefit to most people.

First of all, air pollution is the primary most common reason that they should consider. It causes serious health problems such as asthma, lung and heart disease. In many big cities, the residents can seldom see the blue and clean sky because the air is polluted. The widespread use of private cars is the main reason of air pollution. If we have sufficient public transportation in our city, more people use them instead of private cars, and that means less pollution.

Secondly, improvement public transportation would help increase employment. This is because many job opportunities create by improving public transportation such as bus driver, subway conductors, or security guards. Furthermore, commuter trains enable people living in distant areas to commute to work downtown or otherwise they cannot work in city areas.

Third is a good public transportation can help people to save many time, they do not waste time on waiting the red light or to find a parking lot. For another thing, having too many cars on the road is the major factor to cause the traffic problem, because some of drivers do not follow the traffic rule. Pedestrians often face this dangerous road condition as they have meticulous cross the road. The car accident happened in every month. Many young men were died in the car accident. As a result that was broken many family.

In addition, public transportation also have many benefits for citizens especially the elder and the poor. People who cannot afford to drive such as the elderly or the poor can use subway or bus to go around. People who are physically unable to receive the driver licence can reap the benefits of sufficient public transportation.

In conclusion, environmental problems and increased unemployment are some of the most serious problems of modern society. By improving public transportation is one way governments can use against these problems and create a convenient environment for all citizens.

  32. Should government spend more money or improving roads and highways or should government spend more money or improving public transportation such as buses, trains, or subways? From my opinion, our government should spend more money to improve the roads and highways. I agree with the statement because roads and highway is the main important for our country especially to the roads user. Furthermore, our country has improved a lot for improving the public transportation. Nowadays, there are much public transportation at the rural community and small town. No wonder for them to get the public transportation.
Our country has improved many inventions for Malaysian to get the benefit. But, it is still not enough for us regarding the roads and the highways. We can see all the people have their own cars. Most of Malaysian affords to buy more than one cars. From that situation it will increase the number of cars at the road that may lead to the road traffic jam. Roads traffic jam is the one problem that we can not solve in our country. The population was increased from day to day. Even though our government has improved the traffic light in every road, it is not enough. The government should think the other effective way to improve these two inventions. For example, if we have an emergency at our working place, it will disturb our time to reach the location.
Secondly, the government should spend the money to improve the roads and set the laws for any of the transport that have the loads more than they should carry such as trailer and lorry. It is because they will damage the roads. Other than that, it will leads to the roads accident. Many of the cases from year to the year that contribute to death are an accident. Our government should take further action to prevent this incident occurred. As we know, many of the users are not follow the rules and regulation that government form. As a result, the government should increase the width of the roads so that every type of transport can use at the same roads.
Furthermore, every big city such as Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Penang are the busy city at Malaysia. Many of the people were convergent at that city. So, the government should spend more money at this city. Yet, we will decrease the accident cases in our country. For the rural area, the government should improve the highway so that can be easy to reach that area and at the same time we will upgrade the level of development at the rural area. Our government has a goal to reach the mission for year 2020. The government should ensure that every rural area must develop consistent with the country mission.
As a conclusion, the government should take an action to improve the roads and highway in every area at Malaysia. The government should think that the important of the roads and highways for every roads user. They must set the laws to prevent from accident cases occurred that may lead to death.

  33. ESSAY 7

It is a very crucial question about spending money more on transportation or on improving roads and highways. In my view, improving roads and highways are more important than spending money on improving public transportation.

If there are good roads and transportation, public transportation will be automatically improved. Accidents will be less and commute time will be less. So people will like to travel by public transportation. It will lead more money which will improve investment on public transportation.
For progress of any country, transportation system plays a very important role. Efficient transportation system attracts more investment in an area. Raw material can be transported from any part of the world. Labor can come from any part of country. Good transportation system is not only good for public(cheap, comfortable and frequent services) or for industry (to get raw material and labor) but also for government (revenue). improving in transportation would enhance the quality of the country environment motor vehicles make use of fuel energies like gas, diesel etc. This carbon monoxide in the atmosphere and results in air pollution, affecting . people's health. Furthermore, traffic causes more traffic jam and noise pollution and more accidents. Improved transportation would encourage more people to make use of it, and thus provide an healthy environment to live.

However, improving transportation, People will use more public transportation which helps in saving money and resources. Instead of using their own car, people will prefer to go by buses which consumes less diesel or petrol and it will lead less traffic on roads. But it can be achieved my improving roads and highway conditions also. If roads are good and connectivity is more, people prefer to go by public transports which lead more investment in public transportation. More public transportation attracts more people to travel on public transports and it will lead less traffic on roads and saving of resources.

In conclusion, I think improvement on roads and improvement in public transports are complimentary to each other. But improving on roads should be ultimate goal of government because it leads more transportation automatically. Less traffic, less accident and good connectivity will improve people preferences to go by public transportation.

  34. Question 7
Yes the government should spend more money in improving public transport facility. In country like India where people like to travel in transport facilities provided by the goverment mostly due to inability of possessing a vehicle or inconvenience of driving to place of work depend highly on these transport facilities to go to work.

Public transport forms lifeline of travelers and workers. Public transport is analogous to blood in our body. As blood constantly nourishes various parts of our body public transport provides industries and services with a fresh supply of work force to carry out it operation uninterruptedly.

The majority of work force depends on public services for its daily conveyance to its work place is a factory or office catering to essential services. An improvement in these services on only enhances the accessibility of the place but also improves the productivity of the workplace, thus causing enhancement of socio-economic growth of the nation.

Public transport is some times the only means of transport to a remote region; the increase in trips to the region would make reach essential services like medication and healing to reach in time. This improvement of transport may improve the economic condition of the region thus accelerating the process of development of the region which would other wise have taken a longer stretch of time.

Improvement of public transport would enhance the productivity and development, as improvement of transportation would remove the tension from the person’s mind about his probability of reaching home if he missed his ride back home thus allowing him to concentrate more on his job.

Thus I would support the development in public transport rather than improvement of roads, as transportation would comfort the work force that depend on it and on whom the
    nations development is dependent.

  35. Should government spend more money on improving roads and highways or should government spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.

Transport is take one of the important part in our daily life. The development of transport and road or highway system in our country improves faster by modern technology. In my opinion, government should spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways).
Firstly, people are busy with their work and there are doing think to spent time in travelling from house to work place. So, the improving public transportation and the roads or highways are helping the people to go their working place on the time. Now days, there do not spent time with walking or cycling to reach other places. It is not only spent time and also loss our energy.
Furthermore, the improving roads and highways are preventing the people from traffic jam. Traffic jam make the people angry because there are be late to reach the expect place. This common problem solve by make the roads and highways bigger. An example, In the future, the ‘Permas’ area to ‘Pasir Gudang’ area are can reach only fifteen minutes. Because the government made a straight road to both area. It is reduce the road become jam and make the people easy to travel.
Other than, the improving public transportation is give variety of choices of transport when there are travelling from home to places. Such as, now we can travel by buses, cars, train (LRT) and taxi. If we want to go long journey with short time, we can travel by aeroplane. More than that, people who were do not enough money to buy a own car or motorcycle, There can use the public transport such as bus or train. This transports are give a good services to public and also cheap. This will save our money.
As a conclusion, the government must spend more money on improving roads and highways to escape the public from traffic jam and also reduce our stress. The development of transportation also help the poor people to travel easily and it is also make the people comfort. The public transport also provide a good service to public.

  36. For all of us that have our own vehicle and always drive it every day, of course we do not want to be caught by the traffic jam. That is why I think, our government should spend more money on improving roads and highway rather than improving our public transportation.
Why I said that because public transport like busses or taxi also use the roads. So the main thing that our government should spend is on the roads and highways. Many people may use this accommodation to reach from one place to another place. It is because our journey by using the roads is more cheaper. Of course we also have another public transport like LRT or monorail but for me using my own car make me more comfortable and I may not need to follow the schedule of the public transport.
The main reason why the government should spend money to improving our roads and highway is because every day, the numbers of vehicle in this country have been increase. With the roads that we have now, I do not thing so that it can be able to be use by the thousands of vehicle. It show that we need the roads to be more bigger and able to be used by many vehicle.
Other than that, I also want to suggest that we need to build the special lane especially for the trucks, buses or any bigger vehicle. It is because this type of vehicle may cause dangerous to other vehicle. If all the buses or trucks has their own lane, other vehicle can continue the journey more safety and without any inconvenience.
Besides that, the government also should thing about the problems regarding the traffic jam. It is true that public transport sometimes may give us choice to go to some place but not many people likes to use it. So that, our government should be able to reconstruct the roads and highway to make it safe to use not only for the person with vehicle but also to other neighbourhood traffic like pedestrians and cyclists.
From all the reasons, again I want to state that government should give more attention to improve our roads and highways. It is important to make sure that the consumer can continue their journey safely.

  37. Question 7
Nowadays, government should spend more money on improving roads, highway and public transportation. Beside the millennium era government could take initiative to improve the country to be many of changes. The country is usually spending the money produce by country. Beside that, many of people complain that traffic jam and came late to the destination. That why the government want to improve the road facilities.
The issue at hand is whether government should spend more money on improving roads and highways rather than improving public transport. Government should spend money on improving roads and highways.

Government should consider improving roads and highways is connectivity. Connectivity is one of factors that business people seek before setting up any company. So if town or city is better connected we will be getting more chances of company being setup there which in turn benefits the people in form of job creation.
Setting up good roads and highways is important because with out roads there is no point in improving transportation. For example there is no point in travelling in good vehicle on bad road or highway. Further it will lessen the performance of vehicle. We will feel comfortable even in normal vehicle if the road is good. Improving road conditions should be first step. And then we can consider improving transportation facilities.
Conclusion, more benefit while improving the road facilities to the people so that, we must appreciate what we got and use the public transporting as well. The country also can develop and same level with other development country such as Japan, American, British and others. Therefore, is good way to the government to improving the facilities.

  38. Question 7.

Government, the main source for growing up country, as the day goes by and the country rises, government plays much roles. Some people support solution on improving roads and highways because it makes road traffic more convenient and contribute to promote or impulse business faster and more advantageous. However, in my opinion, I think government should invest more money on improving public transport (such as buses, trains and subways) for three following reasons there are reducing the number of traffic jams, decreasing pollution and saving more money for people who use it.

For me, spending more money on improving public transportations will reduce the number of traffic jams. The more society develops in number of citizens, the more transportation is circulated. If each family owns a private transportation, cars for example, almost nearly 1 million ones on the street during the day, especially on the rushing hour. It will be better if we use public vehicles instead of private one because they will use public transportations together instead of each person on their car.

Besides reducing the number of traffic jams, spending more money on improving transportations may decreases pollution. Too much cars on road will surely aggravate the pollution. As people who take part in traffic switch to use public means of transport, the total of vehicles will be reduced and also help to protect the environment. As a result, exhausted fumes producing by transportations cause excessive emission of carbon monoxide in the atmosphere. Furthermore, more traffic causes also contribute to traffic jam, noise pollution and accidents. Improved transportation would attract more people in public transportation, save the energy thus reduce emission of the greenhouse gases.

Moreover, spending more money on improving public transportations helps people who use them saving more. Nowadays, oil price is increasing more and more, so using private means of transport like motorbike or cars on a long journey is too costly and lavish. In contrast, the price of transportations is quite cheap compared to private ones. We can obviously see its benefit.

In short, from my points discussed above, I have strongly agreed that spending more money on improving public means of transport is very necessary because of its beneficial influence on traffic jams, environment and also saving.

Should government spend more money on improving roads and highways or should government spend more money on improving public transportation ( buses, trains, subways ) ? Why ? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.

Nowadays, we are living in the 2010 era. Malaysia provides a variety of convenience for their citizens. Long time ago, people have problems when they want go to their destination, they don’t have a car and also public transportation such as buses, trains and also subways. But today, all kind of this problems already have their solution which is government provides a lot of public transportation for our convenience. But can you think that what can happened if government spend more money on improving public transportation and ignore about roads and highways that become more narrowing than use it because a lot of public transportation.
For me, I think that government should spend more money on improving roads and highways. Too many of car and public transportation can cause bad traffic jam because of the roads and highways that become more narrowing than use it. Vehicles and public transportation cannot move freely and traffic comes to a standstill. For example, when all the workers want to go back home in the evening around 5.30 pm, the roads and highways become so crowded because have many transportation. So, to prevent all of this kind of things from occur, government should spend more money on improving roads and highways.
Other than that, people also can achieve their destination early than the time. They also can prevent from waste time on the roads and highways. For example, when the early morning and all people want go to their office, they face the situation which have a lot of vehicles and traffic jam. If government improve the roads and highways, all this things cannot be the biggest problem anymore. People just have to drive carefully to go for their destination.
When improving roads and highways also we cam prevent from accidents. For example, nowadays too many accident happened on the roads. Why all of this happened? It is because the roads become more narrowing than use it, same going to highways. It make the roads and highways busy and because of that accident easily can occur.
Lastly, for me I strongly agree with the statement government should spend more money on improving roads and highways. It give a lot of convenience for their citizens and prevent the bad things from happened.

  40. Government spends more money on improving roads, highways and public transportation such as buses, trains and subways. For my opinions, the government should spend more money on improving of our public transportation. Many reasons and important to community why government should spend more money for this public transportation. Public transportation includes all multiple occupancy vehicle services designed to transport customers on local and regional routes. These services include private and public buses, commuter rail, automated guide way transit, plane, cable cars, taxi, monorails and ferryboat.
Public transportation makes it possible for millions of people to access work, school, medical appointments and other everyday activities. It also provides access to new opportunities where people can drive less and walk more, by providing greater access to community events, and by meeting the needs of all citizens, particularly those who do not drive.
The advantages for our communities are to save money. People who live in rural or suburban areas often have the option of public transportation, at least for the daily commute to work. The cost of gas, parking and auto maintenance to the cost of a bus or train pass, we will find that a monthly commuting pass is far more economical. For people live in an urban area and use the bus or train as primary transportation source, they save even more on car payments, insurance and repairs.
Convenience or sharp on the time is the next advantage. Most trains and buses run on a set schedule. Punctuality is important for workers. So, we should arrive to the work place on time. No more roaming around looking for parking or sitting in traffic jam. Some say that buses and trains take longer than driving, but this time is better to us. This time, we can relax and will spend this time for reading or other activities.
This also can safe our earth. Care of our environment is important. Imagine that many of us use the own cars to go to work. Everyone who is taking his or her own vehicle is causing some individual pollution, and the earth does not need any extra of that. Smoke that produced by the car can caused pollution in our earth. Many public transportations systems like trains or LRT do not cause the same energy waste and pollution.
As a conclusion, public transportations are important for us in order to safe our earth. Government should spend more money on improving these public transportations. So, think about that. We have to do our responsibilities to care for our earth.

  41. In the new modern generation numbers of people is increasing day by day. Roads and highways become packed and crowded. Added with poor roads and highways constructions, transportations from one place to other places seem to be harder. Roadways always been stuck by jammed cause by poor highways and heavy traffics. The best solution for all those problems would be by improving the roads and highways.

As example, roads and highways should be reconstruct as strong and suitable for all types of vehicle to be on it. If the roads and highways cannot be maintain as suitable to be use, and then there is no use in improving public transportation. Can u imagine on how a bigger public transportation such as buses can move along the poor roads and highways? For sure it will be more difficult and making the traffic becomes worse.

Besides that, poor roads and highways will increase the numbers of road accidents. It is due to the danger of driving on the roads which is not well constructed, people will have problem in controlling their car if they are driving too fast. Moreover some of the roads might have a big hole at the centre and it is really dangerous for motorcycle or even car. They might bump to other vehicle near to them if they hit the hole.

Nowadays, many people can effort to buy their own vehicle for transportation. For them, it is easier to drive their own car rather than using public transportation. They can save their time by using own transport compared to go to somewhere via public transport which is more costly and take longer time to reach at the places. Furthermore, public transportation is not a privacy, people needs to share and sit in a pack buses on their way to their destination. Driving their own transport is more relaxing and safe if they maintain the good attitude while driving.

Furthermore, our government had enough budgets to improve our roads and highways. So, it is better to use it for as the best solution for our traffic’s problem. With the improvement of roads and highways, transportations problems will also be reducing.

As conclusion, what is the use of having a lot of public transportation if the roads and highways are in poor conditions? It is make sense to improve the roads and highways first for our safety and comfort while driving than keep on adding public transportation which will only make the roads become worse cause by the heavy transportation.

  43. The development of public transportation is the most essential thing for a developed society. Public transportation keeps society from the depletion of natural resources , the air pollution , the loss of a sense of community. So, I think the government have to spend more money on improving it.

If there are good roads and transportation, public transportation will be automatically improved. Accidents will be less and commute time will be less. So people will like to travel by public transportation. It will lead more money which will improve investment on public transportation.

The use of public transportation help in reducing the air population. Cars use oil and gasoline and send out gas such as carbon dioxide , heat and so on .they cause pollution and make the Earth warmer. The more cars are driven , the more pollution will be put into air .If we use the public transportation, less cars will be used and less pollution will be emitted. the atmosphere, surrounding us ,will be protected and help us more healthy.

The use of public transportation make us live more social liable. when we drive a private car ,we are alone or only our family members that we already know and lost the opportunity to make friends with others or to see that we are a part of this society. when using public transportation, we have a chance to meet more people and more chances to discovery new aspects of life.

Using public transportation has a lot of advantages for the modern society facing a lot of problems : the environmental population, the isolation in life , the depletion of natural resources. So , the government have to invest more for it and encourage people to use .

  44. Question 7: Should governments spend more money on improving roads and highways, or should governments spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.

Transportation is an very important factor in every country's development. It encourages other economic aspects to develope . Investment in transportation is always necessary in every nation, but the question is how to invest efficiently. Should the government spend more money on improving roads and highways, or should governments spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways).
In some big cities, there are millions of people. Even though many roads and highways have been built, but still the traffic jam is still severe. That is because more and more people buy their own cars and the increase of roads and highways which cannot meet the increase of cars. So the governments of these cities should spend more money on improving public transportation. If the public transportation becomes convenient and comfortable, many people will give up driving their own car, after all the public transportation is cheaper and they do not need to think where to park their cars. With more people taking public transportation, the cars on roads and highways will be reduced and traffic will become unblocked. And the decrease of cars can benefit the environments of these cities. Their atmosphere will become fresh without the release of carbon monoside.
Secondly, in many small cities, their roads are very narrow and even there are no highways. Though the number of cars is far less than large cities, traffic jams happen frequently. So the key of solving their traffic problem is improving roads and highways. When the roads become broad and many highways have been built, so that toprevent the traffic jams will never happen.

As a conclusion, to solve all these problem, we should find the cause of where and how the problem started in the first , and then choose the best way to solve it. Traffic problems are the same, so the governments should should make the good choices.

  45. Traffic management is in no doubt one of the major task often faced by successive governments especially in urban cities and it is often heard that milions if not billions are generally being spent annually to inrease and maintain the public transportation with little or no improvement. It is in view of this that I strongly support the statement that government should instead concentrate their effort on improving and increasing the number of roads and highways.

Firstly,If government spend money on proper management of existing roads and construct new ones it will be a better source of job provission to the populace where different job skill will be employed as opposed to only drivers to drive public vehicles, these will go along way to checkmate the uneployment rate.

Secondly,Improving the road-network is a better ways to manage congestion on the road as opposed to increasing the number of vehicles, the argument being always put forward is that it is better to use public transport than personal cars, but experince had proof otherwise because it is more convinient.Spending more money by government is therefore like buying baby dress for a spinster.

Inaddition,If government concentrate on improving the highways private firms can be contracted to provide public transportation since there is less bureaucracy(which often constitute maintainance problem)and can therefore manage better.

Inconclusion,Synergistic effort by government and the populace is required for effective transportion on our road and this will be better achieve if government can concentrate on maintainance of road while the private sector should be resposnsible for provision of public transportation.

  46. All means of transportation should be kept in good conditions. However, I believe it
would be most beneficial for a country or city, if its government spent more money on
improving public transportation. This would result in substantial standard of living
    improvements.

The government should spend more money in improving public transport facility. In
country like India where people like to travel in transport facilities provided by the government mostly due to inability of possessing a vehicle or inconvenience of driving to place of work depend highly on these transport facilities to go to work.
Public transport forms lifeline of travelers and workers. Public transport is analogous to blood in our body. As blood constantly nourishes various parts of our body public
transport provides industries and services with a fresh supply of work force to carry out its operation uninterruptedly.

The majority of work force depends on public services for its daily conveyance to its work place is a factory or office catering to essential services. An improvement in these services on only enhances the accessibility of the place but also improves the productivity of the workplace, thus causing enhancement of socio-economic growth of the nation.

Public transport is sometimes the only means of transport to a remote region, the increasein trips to the region would make reach essential services like medication and healing to reach in time. This improvement of transport may improve the economic condition of the region thus accelerating the process of development of the region which would otherwise have taken a longer stretch of time.

Improvement of public transport would enhance the productivity and development, as
improvement of transportation would remove the tension from the person’s mind about his probability of reaching home if he missed his ride back home thus allowing him to concentrate more on his job.

Thus I would support the development in public transport rather than improvement of
roads, as transportation would comfort the work force that depend on it and on whom the nation’s development is dependent.

Should governments spend more money on improving roads and highways, or should governments spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.

Some governments spend more money on improving roads and highways, others spend more money on improving public transportation. Personally, I prefer that Malaysia to have a good in roads and highways. Because, many people especially in Malaysia is prefer to use their own cars than public transportation to go to work. That why, the government should improving road and highways to reduce traffic jam.

To improving roads and highways is more important rather than spend more money on improving public transportation because, nowadays many people like to have their own transport for their full their satisfactory. Others people are dislike to waiting and sharing with others people for the public transport. To use public transportation to work, the people must wake up in the early morning. If they late, they will cannot get or escape and come late in the work place.

On the other hand, if use the public transportation like buss, it is will stop at every bus station. By reasons of this, buses are slower than automobiles. That is also, the reason why the people like to have their own transportation. And easy to them to go any places that they like. It is very important especially in emergency situation. For example,
If in the night, the child in a family got the high fever, the parent want to get a fast treatment to their child. But if the parent does not have their own transportation, it may delay the treatment, and maybe the child’s condition become worse. For a family at least must have one transport to use in emergency situation.

In conclusion I think that whether government should spend more money on improving public transportation or on improving high ways depend on every different country. However I think that cars provide independence. Therefore I prefer to use cars. But in many cases they are not appropriate transportation.

  48. ESSAY 7
There is an unresolved controversy what is more important for the city - convenient public transport or the well developed net of highways and roads. That is really a hard question because while each of the ways brings some advancement in the standard of leaving, it also has its own weaknesses. Nevertheless, I personally believe, that public transport is an essential part of the modern city so it has to get support from the government. I will try to prove my point by the following ideas.

Firstly, public transport decreases the amount of the vehicles on the city's roads and thus, reduces the harmful pollution. For instance, I have grown up in the big city with the population over eight million people. Fortunately, not that many people could afford the personal car back than, so we did not really have any noticeable problems with the quality of the air. But nowadays, when car became a prevalent convenience for every middle-income family, city faces a real problem. The enormous amount of the cars in the streets create traffic problems, roads in the downtown are absolutely solid during the rush hours. Apparently, the pollution of the air reached the critical point and government has to urgently find the solution. I think that public transport can significantly benefit the environment.

On the other hand, well-developed and convenient net of public transport will drastically increase the safety of the city's roads. Obviously, when the professional drivers are in charge the collisions happen not that often. Furthermore, during the rush hours, especially in the evening, when people are in a hurry to get home after the working day, they do not pay much attention to their driving. On the other hand, the professional drivers that have been trained to deal with the stress on the roads are able to concentrate better. So, more people leave their cars at the garages in the morning, less collisions we will have during the day.

Resuming the above, I would like to say that if I were the government I would pay more support and attention to the public transport's condition then that to the highways and roads. The convenient net of the public transport is able to benefit environment and increase safety on the roads. My personal opinion is that the public transport is an essential element of the modern city.

  50. Question 7: Government spends more money on improving roads and highways.

Government should spend more money on roads and highways first rather than on public transportation because many governments ponder this day on whether to improve roads and highways or spending huge some of money on improving public transportation like buses, trains and subways. Buses, train and subways can only function well when roads and subways are improved. A good public transportation can help people to save many time and they do not waste time on waiting the red light or to find a parking lot. Another thing is having too many cars on the road is the major factor to cause the traffic problem because some drivers do not follow the traffic rule.
Many car accidents happened in every month. Many people were died in the car accident. That was broken many family. Buses, trains and subways transportation have been made available because there are roads and highways. The nature of the roads and highways are very poor and the outcomes of the state of this road are the numerous accidents that occurred everyday. So, if governments improve the state of the roads and highways first, it will be creating a health environment for public transportation.
The growth of a country greatly depends on its roads and highways systems. For example, in under develop country like Cameroon almost all companies need raw material with is mostly found in the royal areas. They have good vehicles to transport these products; it is not easy because of the nature of the roads and highway linking the urban areas and the city. Use of public transportation is the best way to conserve natural resources gradually run out. Cars depend on oil and gasoline to move. If people use too many private cars, the oil and gasoline nonrenewable will run out. People can use public transportation like bus, train, subway, each one can get far more people and less oil and gasoline era use up per person.
Public transportation also helps in reducing the air pollution. Cars use oil and gasoline and send out gas such as carbon dioxide, and heat they cause pollution and make the earth warmer. The more cars are driven, the more pollution will be put into air. If we use the public transportation, less cars will be use and less pollution will be emitted in atmosphere and surrounding us. We also can protected and help us more healthy.
Using public transportation has a lot of advantages. So government should think of improving on their roads and highways first and public transportation later. The government has to invest more for it and encourage people to use.

  51. QUESTION: Should government spend more money on improving roads and highways or should government spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, and subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.
    ANSWER:
Transportation is the act of moving people or goods from one place to another. Without transportation there could be no trade. Throughout most of history, transportation was extremely slow and difficult. Prehistoric people travelled mainly on foot. They transported goods on their backs or heads or by dragging them along the ground. Ships are one of the oldest and most important means of transportation.
Car and vehicle trade is a component of goods being shipped internationally. Car and vehicle transportation is done mainly by the means of pure car and truck carriers, pure car carriers, roll on roll offs and container ships. The difference in between these ship types can be explained as carry vehicles including trains, as conveyances of passengers or cargo, whereas in the vehicle carriers, the payload is the vehicles themselves. When car and vehicle trade is our scope, pure car carriers and pure car and truck carriers are the main ship types the transportation market is focused on.
Currently, the car carriers in the world fleet are getting replaced with the new ones and a number of fairly old groups of ships are rising. Therefore, an acceleration in the rate of scrapping is expected for the market although, the tendency so far seems to be keeping the older ones in transport as well as adding new ships to the fleet [Sea trade 2001]. As we have stated, we are observing an increase for the numbers of the cars being manufactured and the cars carried per year and we are observing a fragmentation within the car manufacturing countries and having alternative important routes for car and vehicle transport. Then again we see a slight increase in the volumes and the capacities of the vessels being built. We are definitely observing technological advances such as adjustable decks for different vehicle types. This is needed because the character of the cargo may change from small family type cars to industrial vehicles, yet the vessel can serve the cot type perfectly.

  52. Should government spend more money on improving road and highways or should government spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subway)? Why? Use specific reasons and detail to develop your essay.

Nowadays people already have their own transport. For the transportation, it does already do not have any problem about that. A road is an identifiable thoroughfare, route, way or path between two places which may or may not be available for use by the public; public roads, especially major roads connecting significant destinations are termed highways. A highway is a public road, especially a major road connecting two or more destinations. For that statement I think should government spend more money on improving road and highways.
The improvement of the road and highway, need to be balanced with the provision of an effective efficient transport system. This is to reduce the harm for example; deaths, injuries, and property damage on the highway system from traffic collisions and include the design, construction and regulation of the roads, the vehicles that use them and also the training of drivers and other road-users. A report published by the World Health Organization in 2004 estimated that some 1.2m people were killed and 50m injured on the roads around the world each year. The problem was most severe in developing countries and that simple prevention measures could halve the number of deaths.
People may stack on jam when they went to work. By improving the road and highway people easier when to work without traffic jam. People can reach at the work early because there is no traffic jam. The policed traffic also may not take part when government already improve the road and highway.
By improving road and highway, the way must be smooth and easier people go to anywhere. They may use a new way and it’s can be benefit to all of people in this country. They also may not use a far road and because government already upgrade the road. By improving the highway and road, it’s also can be specific the raw of motorcycle, bus, lorry and car. It can be benefit to all the user of road and highway.
As a conclusion, government should spend more money on improving road and highways because people already have their own transport. The road must be smooth without any accident and traffic jam. It’s can be easier to all user of the road and highways.

  53. Should government spend more money on improving roads and highways or should government spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.

Government often have to choose to spend more money on building roads or on improving public transportations. In my opinion, they should definitely focus on improving roads and highway for many reasons. Every year, the government is spending huge sum of money on development our country especially for the people facilities. The government already completed our road system according improvement our road system which is related among the state in our country.

Today, our country had a lot of public transportation which is buses, trains and taxi for the people. Actually the buses, trains and subway transportation have been made available because there are roads and highways. The government should be developed our roads and highway because every people have their own vehicle to move beside the public transportation. From there, the road accident commonly happened at our country. The newspaper always remind to every driver for be carefully during drive the vehicle. But, sometimes we must look at the other side which is the road are not proper to use. The arrangement of road also can decrease a risk of accident in our country that occurred for everyday. So, we are can create a health environment for the public according the improvement of road and highways.

Besides, our country has a lot of the tourism place based on the beach, waterfall and island also. For the public and tourist, the completed signboard at the road is most important. So, for the completed of the signboard, the road should be improved first. The government also need to build up the new road if optional to easier for every people search any location. Furthermore, though they have good vehicles to transport, it is not easy because of the nature of the roads and highway linking the urban areas and the cities. So, why not our government was improved the road to create the best way for us.

For the previous year, the ministry already advised to the worker to share the car with their friends to prevent traffic jam at the road. But for me, since previous and today every people have their own vehicle such as a car. Each family also have less one car for easy them to move without depending with others. So, to prevent from the road traffic jam the government should be improve the road such as develop the highway especially at the town. Now, every people are comfortable to use their own vehicle for their activity because the time management is much better rather than when use a public transportation.

As a conclusion, have a lot benefit if government stress for development of the road and the highway. The life among the people more safe and the number of road accident also decrease. For the economic system, it’s more smoothly because can develop the business relationship between rural and city area. So, the governments should think of improving on their roads and highways first and later for public transportation.

  54. QUESTION 7
The government should spend more money on improving public transportation. The issue considering the government’s improvement on traffic is a meaningful but complex one. There are both advantages to spend money on improving roads and highways and to spend money on improving public transportation. As far as I am concerned, I prefer the idea that governments should spend more money on improving public transportation.
First of all, public transportation is important in our daily life, especially in urban areas. People rely on subways to go to work. This is also can prevent from traffic jam. Government should provide a lot of public transportation to more easy for people to go anywhere. For student also used the buses to go to school every day. Improving transportation will make people feel more comfortable to travel every day and more easily for them.

Furthermore, public transport decreases the amount of the vehicles on the city's roads and thus, reduces the harmful pollution. If governments spend more money on improving roads and highways, more people can afford to buy their own cars. One example is that the number of personal cars in China is greatly increasing. This causes serious pollution in this country. The air is full of exhaust fumes and thick cloud of dust. People hardly find the fresh breath in the busy city.
Moreover, government should spend more money on improving the roads, highway, and public transportation. Developed and convenient net of public transport will drastically increase the safety of the city's roads.
Facility of roads and highway or public transportation can make them easier in their life to go for work or go anywhere. Trains, buses or subway as a public transportations such as KTM Komuter give a lot of benefit for people to do their work and make more people confident to use it. To sum up, improving public transportation will help serve people’s need, reduce accidents and air pollution. A safer, healthier and more enjoyable place to live waits for us in the future.

  55. Highways or public transportation is very important to our transportation system. Transportation accommodation is very important to society because, without transportation accommodation we are separate from other and cannot connection each other.
Government spend a lot of money for fixed or improving roads and highways. To fixed and build the highways are easily to break down and government need to fixed the highways or road frequently especially when the road is use for buses, Lories and trailer.
Besides that, quality of tar are not longer as before because when they improve road they only paste the tar in outer most layer and just put thin layer of tar this why road are easily can breakdown and need more cost to fixed frequently and as a solution government must use quality of tar and must put thick layer of tar when fix the highway or roads.
Moreover nowadays many people have their own transport. Some people have more than one cars and motorcycles. Further more people think easy when have own transport for personal purposes or in emergency and we no need to use public transportation when urgent or emergency, for example when we are sick or in very ill condition so we cannot afford in crowded place when use transportation and no need to queue up.
Furthermore, when many people have their own transport so that increase number of highways user and government need to improve the road or highways for people easily and safely use the highways and road. Other than that when government improve road and highways so number of road accident will decrease this is because of many of the motorcycle are because of accident. Because of hole on the road or break down of the road and people need more money for transportation maintenance when their transport breaks down.
As a conclusion, government should spend more money on improving roads and highways to bring country become a faster develop country, transportation or roads and highways is importance to connection between one place to another and a connection between village to town and also can follow the development of the town.

  56. It is a very crucial question about spending money more on transportation or on improving roads and highways. In my view, improving roads and highways are more important than spending money on improving public transportation.
Firstly, if there are good roads and transportation, public transportation will be automatically improved.
Good transportation system is not only good for public (cheap, comfortable and frequent services) or for industry (to get raw material and labor) but also for government (revenue).
Secondly, the growth of a country greatly depends on its roads and highways systems. For example, in an under developed country like Cameroon, almost all Companies need raw materials with which are mostly found in the royal areas. Though they have good vehicles to transport these products, it is not easy because of the nature of the roads and highways linking the urban areas and the cities. Likewise, if more money was spent on highways and roads, fewer vehicles could be used to transport huge amount of the raw materials to the urban areas.

However, improving transportation, People will use more public transportation which helps in saving money and resources. Instead of using their own car, people will prefer to go by buses which consume less diesel or petrol and it will lead less traffic on roads. But it can be achieved my improving roads and highway conditions also. If roads are good and connectivity is more, people prefer to go by public transports which lead more investment in public transportation. More public transportation attracts more people to travel on public transports and it will lead less traffic on roads and saving of resources.
Furthermore, some countries are now having specific type of cars to buy because of the poor state of roads and highways. A very good example is my country where one has to buy but a "4x4" vehicle if he or she intends to travel to most locations of the country. This vehicle is very expensive and does not make things easy for citizens of a country. By this, improving on the state of roads and highways will permit citizens not to bother choosing a type of public transportation to use.

In conclusion, I think improvement on roads and improvement in public transports are complimentary to each other. But improving on roads should be ultimate goal of government because it leads more transportation automatically. Less traffic, less accident and good connectivity will improve people preferences to go by public transportation.

  57. Government should provide a very good service to all people. They also must ensure people will live comfort in their routine life.

In this topic for me government should spend money for both.Improving roads and highways very important to make it people live more smoother in every single day.For example, nowadays government has built so many highways or flyovers especially in a big cities like Kuala Lumpur or Klang Valley area. The improving of roads and highways is to reduce traffic jammed. The road users everyday must face terrible situation while driving a car within peak hours. The problem cause by traffic jammed is normal for every big cities and the increasing of quantity of cars or vehicle also produce to this problem. What government able to do to solve this kind of problem is built or improve roads and highways. In this reason,i am totally agree that government should spend more money on improving roads and highways.

The aspect that government should consider is development or improvement of our public transportation service. With my own eyes i have to say that our national public transportation still in poor service.I admit that we have LRT,STAR,Komuter, local train service and also express buses service but the quality of service that provided to consumers is very poor. For example when you use Komuter or LRT,the arriving time not accurate compared to the schedule and always have delays.Ticket machines also cannot be use and user must stand with a long ques just to purchase a ticket. This is what actually happened in our public transportation sector. There is no convenience to the consumers that use public transport.People pay to the service but what they get is totally not worth it.

So,government must find an effective solution as well spend money in term of improving the service of public transportation.Government should open eyes and take a look to some develop countries such as Japan and European countries that have a very superb public transportation service.Government should purchase a high speed train and improve the railways.Government also has to consider about staffing. They should organize some tutorial classes to all the drivers, counter clerks or all workers that working in public transportation sector.

As a conclusion both aspects are important and must be improved.Malaysian people pay taxes and deserved a better service in their life.People generate and contribute to government's income and for sure that money must spend to the right way.Highways and roads must be improved as a convenience to private vehicle user and the improvement to public transportation services also important for those people who do not have own transport. Both must be equal to achieve a true satisfaction in our routine life in our beloved country.

  58. QUESTION 7
Should government spend more money on improving roads and highways or should government spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.
The issue at hand is whether government should spend more money on improving roads and highways rather than improving public transport. In my view government should spend money on improving roads and highways. This is because it is only through better roads we will be having better transportation and also roads indicate culture of nation.

One reason I think should be kept on road improvement is that most of times mobility of vehicles gets zeroed down if roads are in bad condition. Especially rainy seasons aggravate the running conditions of road. If mobility of vehicles is affected other areas like business also gets affected. Because consider a vehicle carrying goods which are to be sold in other area. If u can’t reach the place in time we will be losing the market share. So for any country building good roads should be prime points on to be done list.

Second reason I think government should consider improving roads and highways is connectivity. Connectivity is one of factors that business people seek before setting up any company. So if your town/city is better connected you will be getting more chances of company being setup there which in turn benefits the people in form of job creation.
Third it should be less an accident road if maintaining the good condition of the road. Bad conditions of the road prone to get the accident and controlling the vehicle. The vehicle also less broken because of the good condition of the road and maintenance of the vehicle are less. For example car need to be in good alignment and balancing the tyres because on the road car driver can control the car carefully and safely.

Finally i think setting up good roads and highways is important because without roads there is no point in improving transportation. For example there is no point in travelling in good vehicle on bad road or highway. Further it will lessen the performance of vehicle. We will feel comfortable even in normal vehicle if the road is good. Improving road conditions should be first step. Then we can consider improving transportation facilities.

  59. Government should spend more money on improving roads and highways in the Peninsular of Malaysia and includes Sabah and Sarawak. Government should provide more initiatives on these facilities. It gives advantages to the public especially in the rural area. Beside, their routine life may become easy with all these facilities.
Firstly, I think roads and highways should be well-arranged for all drivers of private cars and drivers of public transports, Without them, system of traffic is not worked and it may create some problems like accidents. For instance, roads that are not equipped well will give some problems to the drivers cannot notice them while they are driving on the way at night. At the result of this ignorance of the road`s cause a terrible accident. Therefore, I believe that there are so significant for the driver and passenger security.
Secondly, especially if we want go to rural areas where do not have public transportation, just have old and narrow roads, the only way to solve this problem is improving roads .When roads are improve, they able to communicate with the outsider especially on economic matters. Roads that had improved may save the time. For examples, medical facilities, foods and basic needs able to supply to the rural areas.
Thirdly, government should spend more money on improving roads and highways first. They are the root cause for a safe and a comfortable journey. Roads and highways that are not built properly are major reason for dangerous accidents. Most of these accidents are objective, hard to avoid and unpredictable. Moreover even the good transportation not give a comfortable ride when the road is a great mess .On the other hand the good vehicle becomes spoilt due to the road. If the roads are not improved first then improving the vehicles is no use because road is the root for the safe and good ride. Thus by improving the roads percentage of accidents can be reduced, maintenance cost for the vehicles can be reduced, and the safe and comfortable journey can be assured.
Other than that, good roads and highways may prevent the traffic jam during the peak hours. Then, it may save the time and everything could settle properly without having stress on the road.
In conclusion, the government should spend more fairs on improving the roads. It may take a month or a year but the public will be proud for the every facilities they have.

  60. Annually national budget is limited, so the matter of whether government should spend more money on improving roads & highways or government should spend more money on improving public transportations is a controversial/ disputed/ argumentative one. Some people support solution on improving communication route system because it makes road traffic more convinent & contribute to promote/ impulse business faster & more advantageous. However, in my opinion, I think government should invest more money to ameliorate public transportations (buses, trains, subway), for three following reasons: reducing the number of traffic jams, decreasing pollution, & saving more money for people who use it.
The 1st idea for my belief that spending more money on improving public transportations will reduce the number oftraffic jams. The more society develops, the more transportation is circulated. If each family owns a private transportations, cars for example, there may have nearly 1 million ones on the street during the day, especially on the rush hour, in one – million – population city. It will be better if we use public vehicles instead of private one because they will use public transportations together instread of each person on his/her car, for instance.

In addition to reducing the number of traffic jams, spending more money on improving public transportations decreases pollution. Too much cars on route will surely aggravate the pollution. As people who take part in traffic switch to use public means of transport, the total of vehicles will be reduced. As a result, exhausted fumes producing by transportations will be decreased & environment, therefore, is fresher.

Moreover, spending more money on improving public transportations helps people who use them saving more. Nowadays, oil price is increasing more & more, so using private means of transport like motobikes or cars on a long journey is too costly & lavish. In contrast, the price of transportations is quite cheap in comparison with private ones. You can obviously see its benefit.
In short, from reasons discussed above, I have confidence that spending more money on improving public means of transport is very necessary because of its beneficial influence on traffic jams, environment and saving.

  61. 7. Should government spend more money in build highway or public transportation?
Nowadays, many accident incidents have happen in our country because of increase of vehicles, bad condition of road and attitude of the road consumers. The government has taken an action to solve this problem whether to build many highway or public transportation. For my opinion, I prefer the government to provide both which is improve the highway and provide more public transportation.
In a society where independence is valued many people prefer to use their own cars than public transportation. Automobiles provide more comfortable travelling. Furthermore, they are in most cases fastest than other types of transportation.
However, in big cities it is very hard to park your car. There are many traffic jams. Therefore, public transportation in these cities is more appropriate transport. It can help reduce the traffic jam thus easy every people. Moreover, it also will help reduce air pollution when people use public transportation. I think that this instance show that in big cities, public transportation is fastest and cheapest way than automobile transportation.
In conclusion I think that whether government should spend more money on improving public transportation or on improving high ways depend on every different country. However I think that cars provide independence. Therefore I prefer to use cars. But in many cases they are not appropriate transportation. It is depend on the situation, both of it are very important in improving the transportation system in our country.

  62. Should the government spend more money on improving roads and high-ways or should the government spend more money on improving public transportation ?

I think they should focus on updating and modernising public transport, since the road system in Vietnam is quite good.
In Vietnam, the most used form of transportation is the motorbike.
People are not familiar with using public transportation because the system is not good enough, or safe enough to use, also it is not convenient for everybody to use it while in other countries.
Public transport has proven itself very helpful in reducing traffic jams and accidents.

In Vietnam, the public transport is not in a very good condition.
People using this kind of transport usually have to worry about the quality of the car or the carefulness of the driver. The government should spend more money in buying new buses to replace the old ones so that people will feel safe when they use them.

Besides, the public service is not convenient for people to use.
The city bus is the public transport that is most used in Hanoi, but it just runs in some main streets of the city, not all of the streets.
Therefore, people have to go very far to get to a bus stop to catch it if they want to use it.
So if the government spend more money to buy more buses and extend the area that the bus can serve, there will be more people happy to use it.

Vietnam is considered one of the countries that has the most dangerous traffic in the world.
The crucial reason is that we use so many motorbikes.
Public transport would be a potential solution for this problem.
That is why I think the government should spend as much money as they can to improve it , and alsothey shold execute that plan as soon as possible.

I have used the city bus for many years in my time at college, but now I no longer use it because of the bad quality and the inconvenience of it.
The nearest bus stop is 15 minutes walk from my company, and the air-condition in the bus usually break down.
If these problems were solved, I would definitely use the city bus again, because I believe that the less motorbikes we use, the less traffic jams and accidents that will happen.

  63. Should government spend more money on improving roads and highways or should government spend more money on improving public transportation such as buses, trains, and subways. To me, government should be spending more money on improving public transportation such as buses, trains and subways. It is not means that the roads and highways not important to get some budget because the public transportation much more important. This is the best way to preserve natural resources and reduce pollution.
In our planet, earth we are dealing a lot of natural sources that cannot be replace if they are gone. When too many transportation in the earth, air pollution occur. The others that we can prevent our natural sources can be reducing such as petroleum and gas that cannot be replacing in short time. As a result of all the cars being driven, we are dealing with terrible pollution problems. In big cities, there are days during the summer when the elderly and people with respiratory problems are advised not to leave the house. Public transportation would cut down considerably on air pollution.

Public transportation has not been sufficiently developed. Because of this, suburban areas surrounding cities have been allowed to more widely. This means that people cannot even go to the store without having to hop into the car. Everything is too far away from where they live. If there were better and more frequent public transportation, people would be able to give up their cars for local driving.

Public transportation also encourages a sense of community. People who travel to work together all the time get to know each other. Car isolates us from neighbors. However, people feel they need to drive because they cannot depend on public transportation to fit their schedules. If more money were available, buses, subways and trains could run 24 hours a day. Then they would be available all the time to the people who need them. I always try to take public transportation whenever possible, and I encourage friends and neighbors to try it too. I think we must support public transportation in order to create a better world.

  66. The road and transport are important in connection between the two places and to reach to our destination. Almost all people using it everyday. The most exhaustive moment is when we are trapped in the traffic jam. This unstoppable issued become norm in the big cities and become worst in the festival season such as during Eid and school holiday. Increasing the number of transportation will make the problem become worst. For the solution, government should spend more money on improving public transportation such as buses, subways and trains rather than improving roads and highways.

By improving public transportation, many people will be more comfortable to using it. It also made the life easier. Using public transportation will save the cost rather than using our own car that we need to spend more money on cost of gas and parking. The cost of bus and train ticket is cheaper rather than cost of gas and parking. Besides that, it can decrease the number of cars in the road and reduce the traffic jams.

We also can take a short rest during the journey after whole day working rather than drive the car through the traffic jam everyday. If we are tired, we cannot focus to our driving and it can lead to accident. There are many cases of accident cause by carelessness of the driver.

Besides that, using public transportation will decrease the air. In the big cities, people are more prone to one people car. So, the carbon dioxide excrete out by the private car most probably will increase. Air pollution is the primary causes of respiratory disease. This can be overcome by improving services of public transportation.

Public transportation will give more benefits for the elderly, handicap and for the poor. They maybe cannot afford to buy own transport or to get a driving license. By they can use public transportation. Government can give some specialty for this type of people to use the public transportation.

For the conclusion, improving public transportation is better than improving roads and highways system. Many people will get the benefit from it and they will appreciate it as it made the life easier.

  67. Governments should definitely spend more money on improving all forms of public transportation. These include buses, subways and trains. This is the best way to preserve natural resources and reduce pollution. If they improve roads and highways, there is definitely harm the natural resources little by little.
As a planet, we are dealing with a finite amount of natural resources. Once they’re gone, they can’t be replaced. They can’t fill our need for oil and gasoline forever. But we seem to forget that and consume them at an incredible rate. In wealthier counties, some families have two or three cars. As soon as teenagers get their driver’s licenses, they are given cars so their parents won’t have to drive those places.
Public transportation hasn’t been sufficiently developed. Because of this, suburban areas surrounding cities have been allowed to sprawl more and more widely. This means that people can’t even go to the store without having to hop into the car. Everything is too far away from where they live. If there were better and more frequent public transportation, people would be able to give up their cars for local driving.
As a result of all the cars being driven, we are dealing with terrible pollution problems. In big cities, there are days during the summer when the elderly and people with respiratory problems are advised not to leave the house. Ten years ago this was unheard of! Now it’s the norm. Public transportation would cut down considerably on air pollution.
Public transportation also encourages a sense of community. People who travel to work together all the time get to know each other. Car isolates us from neighbors. 68. Many governments ponders this days on whether to improve roads and highways or spending huge sum of money on improving public transportation like buses, trains and subways. I believe that buses, trains and subways can only function well when roads and subways are improved. In the following paragraphs, I will explain why governments should spend money on roads and highways first rather than on public transportation.

Firstly, in the absences of roads and highways, one will not talk of public transportation. Buses, trains and subways transportation have been made available because there are roads and highways. In poor country like Africa, the nature of roads and highways are very poor and the outcome of the state of these roads is the numerous accidents that occurred everyday. So, if the government improves the state of these roads and highways first, it will be creating a health environment for public transportation.

Like wise, if more money was spent on highways and roads, fewer vehicles could be used to transport huge amount of the raw materials to the urban areas.

Further more, some countries are now having specific type of cars to buy because of the poor state of roads and highways. A very good example is at Africa, where one has to buy but a "4x4" vehicle if he or she intends to travel to most locations of the country. This vehicle is very expensive and does not make things easy for citizens of a country. By this, improving on the state of roads and highways will permit citizens not to bother choosing a type of public transportation to use.

From the above explanation, if governments improve their roads and highways first, it will make life worth living for people in royal areas, Companies and above all boost the economy of governments. So, governments should think of improving on their roads and highways first and public transportation later.

  70. In my opinion, governments should spend more money on improving both roads and public transportation because both are of utmost importance in my country. But if only one can be done, then I believe, governments should give greater importance to improve public transportation facilities like buses, trains, subways etc, There are various reasons to believe so, like the greatest of all is public convenience, controls pollution and solves traffic problems.
Public will be most befitted if transportation facilities are improved. Today, in this costly world, all people cannot afford to have a private vehicle. If facilities are improved, then people will have more convenience. Obviously they have to pay the fares of buses and trains but it is comparatively much cheaper to private vehicles. Many times, people don't prefer to use public transportations because of their different time schedules. If more buses and trains are started then people can adjust their complicated schedules even with public transportations. And if more people starts using public transportations then government income will also increase thus will be able to use that money to do other important jobs.
Improved transportation facilities will also control pollution to a great extent. Today due to heavy traffics, air pollution has increased greatly. If people will more use buses and trains then all carbon dioxide coming out of small vehicles will be stopped. At the same time, sound pollution will reduce to great extent. Due to heavy traffics, people have to honk frequently, thus creating sound pollution.
Improved transportations facilities will also solve traffic problems to certain extent. If more people will use buses and trains, traffic will be reduced and if traffic is reduced and then also accident rates will reduce greatly. Also when people use public transportation, the sense of community in them will increase. Slowly and gradually, people will become friends and a peaceful atmosphere will be created.
All things considered, I think improving public transportations facilities will not only increase public convenience and control pollution but it will also make world a better place to live.

  71. In my view, spending more money on improving in public transportation is more significant compared to spend money on improving roads and highways.
Public transport can be a life to people. By taking public transport, money can be save from buying car and save for fuel. Besides that, people also can cut their money from the cost of vehicles maintenance. Public transports also help saving resources. Instead of using own car, people can go anywhere by train or buses and consumes of less diesel and petrol besides reduces the numbers of traffic in roads.
Government should improve the whole systems of the public transportation. The improvement is not only in the big city but also in rural area. The connection should be equal and same for the sake of the people, especially for tourist and traveller. By improving the transport system, people can reach anywhere only using the public transport.
By using public transport also can reduce numbers of cars in roads. This matter also helps reducing pollution due to the smoke that comes from the vehicle. Besides that, it is also helps in reduce accidents in roads. Meanwhile for the tourist, they can have a better journey and experiences of travelling by using the public transport.
In conclusion, improvement of the public transportation is better compare to improve the roads and highways. This is because, not all of the people affordable to buy a car. Then, it helps in reducing traffic on road, accidents and pollution. It is also a safe journey for all including the tourist.

  72. I think that the government should spend more money on improving roads and highways for the following reasons, it saves money, it makes the delivery industry grow, and it allows people to move faster.
First, improving roads and highways saves a lot of money for the people and for the government. Improving public transportation may seem to need less money but if you care about the future improving roads and highways saves much more money. Public transportation can get wormed easier and as the technology develops we might need to improve it again. However, roads and highways don’t worn out as easy as public transportation and we could use them for a long time.
Second, improving roads and highways make the delivery industry grow. Good public transportation can also make the delivery industry grow but improving road and highways is better because it allows the public transportations move faster. Public transportation should be improved too but I think that improving roads and highways must be done first.
Improving roads and highways also make people to move faster. Good public transportations are no use when there’s a traffic jam. However, bigger roads reduce the traffic jam. Good public transportations look good when there are improved roads.
As a conclusion, I strongly believe that by improving roads and highways may help us a lot in reducing traffic jam yet reducing our stress when we stuck in that horrible situation.

Do governments should spend more money on improving roads and highways? From my opinion, it is exactly yes and for sure it’s need to be highlighted completely. But still exist others perception which speak out more money should be spent on improving public transportation. Both of this issue have its own pertinent and irrelevant aspect in point of view.
Huge population demand is the main aspect and priority in any development. Obviously we can see at this moment, the numbers of vehicle is rise up dramatically. The impact from this situation is contemplation of air is increasing that leads to irreversible after effects such as the presence of acid rains and different kinds of human diseases. So, by reducing the productions of public transportation can directly makes the air pollution become fade and slowly can be brush off.

Other than that, the possibility to decrease the amount of traffic jams that also has a huge influence on air pollution. It’s awesome! We need to save our old wide world. As a human being, it’s our responsibilities to care and avoid anything that may destroy, plus interrupt the surrounding environment. The lower public transportations are made, the lowest risk of air pollution occur.

Regardless of this point of view, it has a few disadvantages. First of all, public transportation means the presence of schedule and working hours. So, one has to wait for a bus or for a train in a subway or call for a taxi in order to get somewhere. It’s wasting their time. Next, it is a big chance that one has to spend some time getting to the nearest bus stop or subway entrance.

As for roads and highways, I think it is a very important and topical issue. A personal car in this modern world is an imperative vehicle. It gives one freedom and independence. Improving roads and highways governments will decrease the number of car accidents and traffic jams. I believe that in several years air pollution can be dramatically reduced by using sun energy to refuel our cars. Without a better road, we are jump into a trouble because, how can a car want to move safely if the road is not in a good condition? Got hole everywhere, and may cause an accident.

So, to be highlighted for the most about this issue I think that governments should spend money on improving roads and highways because it will benefit all people. Future result can be seen clearly right now. Road packed with people, crowded with vehicle, and soon world will getting tired. Guess what will happen for the next? Everything’s in our hand to decide.

  74. Question 7
Should government spend more money on improving roads and highways or should government spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, and subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.

Although availability of public transportation is a really important issue, especially in big crowded cities, but, in my opinion, regarding fast growing industrial world, especially in car manufacturer field, alternation of roads and highways has become the most important responsibility of governments.

Nowadays, there are so many new, advanced cars which are manufactured and it seems that all families all over the world will have at list one personal car soon. In other way, although the quality of roads and highways seems to be in good range in advanced countries, however, there is a huge improvement insufficiency felt in improving ones. For instance, some governments cannot provide enough entertainment facilities for people during holidays and people are obliged to take short vacations to get relax of busy crowded cities; but unfortunately they will lose their healthiness and even their lives because of the problems existing in roads. In my country - as a small sample- the rate of mortality in consequence of unsafe roads has anticipated the total mortality in 10 year war which we have encountered! It's unbelievable that our enemy is not from outside of country and it has become the most challenging problem here.

Furthermore, one of the major income sources of government is tourism and the importance to have secure highways in a sightful country is obvious. Government wills loss this huge source of money easily by ignoring the attention needed to be paid to this issue. And this is what has happened in my home country. There are so many beautiful, exceptional natural sceneries in north part of it which would not be found anywhere in the world, but because of difficulty in accessing, there has become a forgotten area that just the native people can enjoy its beauty.

In conclusion, in my point of view, all governments should pay more attention and allocate more budgets to improve roads and highways and in this way they will make not only a secure traveling facility for their people but also a safe environment for attraction of tourists.

  75. Question 7
For example, a forest recovery program or a national campaign against pollution.

  76. The issue at hand is whether government should spend more money on improving roads and highways rather than improving public transport. In my view government should spend money on improving roads and highways. This is because it is only through better roads we will be having better transportation and also roads indicate culture of nation.

One reason i think emphasis should be kept on road improvement is that most of times mobility of vehicles gets zeroed down if roads are in bad condition.Especially rainy seasons aggravate the running coditions of road.If mobility of vehicles is affected other areas like business also gets affected.Because consider a vehicle carrying goods which are to be sold in other area.If u cant reach the place in time we will be loosing the market share. So for any country building good roads should be prime points on to be done list.

Second reason i think government should consider improving raods and highways is connectivity.Connectivity is one of factors that business people seek before setting up any company. So if your town/city is better connected you will be getting more chances of company being setup there which in turn benifits the people in form of job creation.

Finally i think setting up good roads and highways is important because with out roads there is no point in improving transportation. For example there is no point in travelling in good vehicle on bad road or highway.Further it will lessen the performace of vehicle. We will feel comfortable even in normal vehicle if the road is good.Improving road conditions should be first step. And then we can consider improving transportation facilities.

  77. Government often have to choose to spend more money on building roads or on improving public transportations. In my opinion, They should definitely focus on improving all forms of public transportations for a lot of reasons. The three most common reasons are to decrease air pollution, to increase employment, and to benefit the citizens especially the elder and the poor.

First of all, air pollution is the primary most common reason that they should consider. It causes serious health problems such as asthma, lung and hearth disease.

Many job opportunities create by improving public transportation such as bus driver, subway conductors, or security guards.Furthermore,
commuter trains enable people living in distant areas to commute to work downtown, otherwise they cannot work in city areas.

In addition, Public transportation also have many benefits for citizens especially the elder and the poor.People who cannot afford to drive such as the elderly or the poor can use subway or bus to go around.People who are phisically unable to receive the driver licence can reap the benefits of sufficient public transportation.

In conclusion, enviromental problems and increased unemployment are some of the most serious problems of modern society.Improving public transportation is one way governments can use against these problems and create a convinient environment for all citizens.

  78. The government sector should spend a lot of money on improving public transportation such as buses, train, and subway rather than improving the roads or highways. I would agree with the first statement. Public transportation is mostly important for a people who in need the services and in rural area. However, public transport doesn’t mean special for that group but actually for all people. Using a public transportation can reduce our economy and also it’s saving money for people who worked in far distances.

Government sector should improved public transport by increasing the number of buses especially for rural area. Low of status to have a own transport, also will used a public transport for the beginning of working. As a result, they can save their money following over time while using a public transport. This is because of they will not have to prepared for any broken of engine and parking fee.

Public transportation also had been provided for a long journey especially during Eid and holiday. The priced is available to all of passenger depends on our demand for high class, double Decker or other need’s.
Public transport also will help to decrease the percentage of motor vehicle accidents in road. When many of people know how to use the public transport it will reduce the number of vehicle in road, so there was no a traffic jam around the morning while we knew that there was a traffic jam in early of morning.

In town, pedestrians will use the public transport because they were a large number using the public transport. They really think its safe and save their money while go for the far places just for fun and else reason.

Public transportation can get easier and as the technology developers we might need to improve it again. However, roads and highways don’t wear out as easy as public transportation and we could use them for a long time.

To have a good transportation, the government need to spend more money such as plan for do more LRT (light railway transport).

If the transportation have improve, government also don’t need to spend so much on money it is because that had nothing to spend and furthermore, if want to improve just little bit only. But if transportation has improved a lot, we as a community don’t need to rushing to get the services because nowadays, so many people demand the good things.

Besides that, if all the transportation and roads are alright, many people got the satisfaction to use it. It is because, our money
also got invest to see the development of country. For example, every monthly our salary will spend at government tax. And that tax has included for country development.

In conclusion, government absolutely need to spend money for improving roads and transportation to give our country stabilized with another country who had growth development so that we don’t look so old fashion and not organized well.

  80. I agree that government should spent more their money to on improving public transportation which is buses, trains and subways than spend money on improving roads and highways. To spent money to improve roads and highways it’s spend more than a month to launch it. Even though with improving roads and highways can reduce the traffic jam but the car is increase follow the development on the country. So more people buy a car and more the government will spend the money with to improving roads and highways.

Transportation is a vehicle that we use to take from one place to another place. Public transportation which is buses, trains and subways is the example of vehicles that can reduce the traffic jam if we useful its. This public transportation is cheap than we use our own car. Furthermore, it will become cheaper than we use this public transportation for a month. For example, we buy the ticket a month before the day that we want to use it.

Even though this public transportation is slow and the time is not punctual especially public transportation such as trains, but it is faster that when we stuck in the traffic jam. Moreover, we can spend money to increase the total of the trains to make it enough to the citizen and become more punctual.

In additional, if the government spend more money on improving public transportation it will make the citizen easy to get this public transportation and it also will make the citizen more fasters to reach the place that they want to go. So, it makes many citizens more willing to use this public transportation because it faster.

Others than that, to makes more people use this public transportation the government should increase the others convenience such as toilet and mosque near with the station either trains or buses. Furthermore, government should spend more money make a subways that have the roof that protect the users from the sun.

The conclusion is government should spent more money on improving public transportation which is buses, trains and subways than spend money on improving roads and highways to reduce traffic jam and also accidences because all the drivers should have the special license to drive the public transportation.

  81. Essay no 7. 11th August 2010
Government should spend more money on improving roads and highways or on improving public transportations?

From my opinion, investment money on improving roads and highways is beneficial. Hence, not all people prefer to use the public transportations because some of them more comfortable to use own vehicle especially among teenagers. While I understand that construction of roads and highways are required who do not prefer using the public transportation, I think we
First of all, we must aware that traffic jammed on the road will make people stress and waste the time then making us late for working. Government should improve the road or highway system by wider the road because it can save the time and minimize traffic jamming. Hence, the road divider has to add more from two become four to able the vehicles to pass through. Furthermore, the public transport on the road such as bus and taxies also contribute in the traffic jamming. So, it is no use if government do improving on public transportation because the traffic jamming problem on the road still not resolve.
Secondly, mostly the accident happen in traffic jammed. It is because the damages on the road also contribute accident happen. Government should take look at this problem because the hole on the surface will dangerous the drivers. Usually, the driver does not aware the present of damages on the surface of roads particularly at night. So to avoid this problem enhance, the road and highway should has to modify.
After that, the alternative ways should be creating to solve roads jammed problem such as provide the underground road tunnel like at Japan country. As we know, the usually traffic jammed is around 5.30 in morning and at 5.00 evening that is when people going to work and come back from their office. Hence, by modify alternative ways it is more beneficial for public.
At long last, spending of more on improving roads and highway are more beneficial prior to the increasing of populations in our country will increasing the use of vehicle on the road. So, it is relevant if investment is made up to improve the roads and highways. The point here is that the harmful situations while driving a car can be avoided by improving the road surface and wider the roads.

  82. Many people think that governments should spend money on improving roads and highways while the others say that it would be better to spend money on public transportation. In my opinion, governments should certainly spend money on the public transportation system because it would deal with problems that the rising number of private cars is creating.

First, the using of public transportation reduces the amount of resources using on transportation.

Second, public transportation helps to solve the air pollution problems. Averagely, public transports use much less gasoline to carry people than private cars. It means that by using public transports, the less gas exhaust is pumped to the air and people will no longer have to bear the stuffy situation on the roads, which is always full of fumes.

In meanwhile, using public transportation is much safer than private transportation. According to National Safety Council, riding the bus is over 170 times safer than private care. Thus there is no reason that governments should hesitate to invest in public transportation, a healthy, safe and economical way of transporting.

In short, I can say for certain that spending money on improving public transportation is necessary because it is the key to protect our world, creating a healthy and safe environment for people to live in.
